Miami Shores Tennis Club: what do users think?

Brian Lutz (Backhand City): This hidden gem is a great club in the heart of Miami Shores. Nice combination of clay courts and hard courts with tennis lessons and classes as well. Plenty of free parking and a small clubhouse with showers and changing rooms. Also check out the main club house they have a terrific bar by the driving range and an affordable lunch menu as well as a terrific weekend brunch.

Monika Olimpiew: Love this tennis court. Howie always does a great job keeping the courts right!

Brendaliz Goldstein: Howie runs this place like the pro he is! Kids enjoy the time and the staff are exceptional.

Loren Pearson: Coach Burd and my son have been playing together for years in private and group lessons.

Franklin Espinal: Bird and Andy run a great tennis program.

Bruce Wright: I work here lol.

R Velez: We were here for my nieace tennis practice

Ned Azimov (IG: simplifiedtennis): Courts are in great condition!

Benny Kaplan: Fun

Kleiner Alvarez: (Translated by Google) The customer service is terrible. There are no receptionists available and no one will advise you absolutely nothing, I personally went to the facility interested only in obtaining Tennis membership and unfortunately no one could help me. The Golf Facility looks good for what I could see, I do not recommend you waste your time, I was lost miserably (Original) El servicio al cliente es pesimo. Flamingo Park Tennis Center: what do users think?

Zachariah Roberts: Flamingo park is a nice facility with over 20 Har-Tru clay courts. You can't reserve courts very far in advance (1 day for non-members), so be sure to call early the day before you plan to play. They also have ball machines for rent as well, which is nice if you don't have a hitting partner. Overall the grounds are nice, but like any other tennis facility - be prepared to pay for time.

Brian Lutz (Backhand City): I enjoy the atmosphere at Flamingo Park. Great people watching and lot of fun characters and of course great tennis hydra courts. Parking in the lot can be a bit tricky depending on the time of year. It's free but a lot of tourists use it and walk to the beach. Some of our Backhand City peeps play in the tournament there and have had great success! Courts are in amazing shape and have an underground irrigation system. Courts are available for night play. Lots a great people watching at this facility from novice to expert tennis players. Players can reserve courts. Miami Beach residents get a discount. It's a bit on the expensive side if you play a la carte but there are membership options if you are a volume player. Hint: There is no pickleball at Flamingo Park Tennis Center

NC Craven: Great har-tru clay courts. Fabulous customer service by Justin and the entire staff. Facility was spotless very well kept.

Peter J Ricci: Flamingo Park Tennis Center has 17 Clay Courts and is a privately managed public tennis club. The club has group clinics Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9am and Monday to Thursday evening group clinics at 8pm and they cost $20 to join and run for 90 minutes. You can also book courts for a small fee for Miami Beach residents and a little extra for out of towns folk.
Response: Thanks Peter for the support as always! You're quite the king of clinics yourself!

Murad Omar: I love the guys and I love coming here to play tennis. The courts are well taken care off, and the staff is great. I also regularly take lessons there, and I am super happy with the tennis lessons as well.

Donéy Valdes: As a resident of Miami Beach and a Concierge I love Flamingo Park for many reasons, especially with the continued development throughout the pandemic. The courts are very well maintained. Unfortunately it has been increasing difficult to play with the influx of people that have either moved or visiting Miami Beach. I was told that the website allows you to book ahead of time which is a great tool...in theory. What was not mentioned is that whether you go online or call in you can only book 1 days in advance for non-members and 2 days for members (I was told 2 days regardless of membership). I've attempted to book numerous times and availability is scarce at best with courts almost always completely booked. After being told that I couldn't book more then 1 day in advance unless I was a member, I asked how much a membership would be. The associate said "IF" they become available it would be about $400 per year for residents and $600 for non-residents, and it would be till October when they possibly would become available. It is disheartening that they do not allow bookings more than 1 day in advance and that they won't make accessibility to residence more of a priority other than a discounted fee. ($12/pp currently) Please do better by your local residents.

DR. ALVIN TUNG: Very impressive facility. Immaculately maintained. Friendly staff. Really impressed that there was ice cold water and covered seating area for all of the courts provided.

Robin Beckmann: You would not expect so many courts in South Beach. Some are clay others are hard. If you don't have a tennis partner staff will help you find one.

de Labouchere Geoffroy: Kevin at the main desk has been extremely helpful and is a true gentlemen !

Alfred Watermann: I like playing on clay, plenty of courts. If you prefer a hard surface, you can have it too. The staff is friendly and if you don’t have a partner they’ ll help you find one.

Tropical Park Tennis Center: what do users think?

Ahsan Syed: Got PCR results within 24 hours for free. Would highly recommend coming here. Quick and easy drive thru testing.

Gilbert Manso: The park is beautiful, well maintained and enormous in size. Basically underutilized due in part to the endless rules and various inpedimenta. For example , if thunder is heard, regardless of how far, the administration sounds a loud alarm and everyone has to vacate the park. No parking areas are enforced even though the park is empty . Equipment and court rentals only accept cash, and they give you no receipts. There are more than 12 tennis and 6 basketball courts but ZERO pickleball courts (which could utilize the existing tennis and basketball courts)

Alberto Rodriguez: I really good place to play racquetball plenty of competition at all levels. I just want to know whose idea it was to paint the racquetball courts the same color as the balls!

Jorge Martinez: Great spot to practice against the wall.

Ana Zaun: My son started at the Tennis Center last summer and has grown to love the sport. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and have instilled a love of the game in my son. He went from a beginner to now playing in tournaments and looks forward to playing a couple times a week with his friends. Highly recommend for those looking to get into the sport, sharpen their skills, or simply rent a court and play a match.

Sid Rashlich: Everything about this tennis Center is horrible. There is no sense of community or respect to the players. I would get kicked out off the courts one minute after the time I paid for expires, even though we were the only ones playing there. A few guys that work there are awesome, but the management really sucks. They would charge me a full hour of using the walls to practice by myself in the morning hours when there's no one around, even though I needed 15 to 20 minutes for rehabilitational purposes. I'm way beyond the point of giving a reasonable criticism. I simply hate that place.

Yancel Rodriguez: Good place to practice racketboll and tennis

Elvy Stansfield: Nice park, love the new improvements, perfect for birthday parties or just fun at the park. It's huge, there is something for everyone. Not 5 stars bc some of the facilities need to be updated.

Jessica Rivera: These are not free courts. We went on a monday at 7 pm neither the tennis courts nor raquet ball courts were free. Its $4 per person per hour.

Eddie Miron: We were there for Orange Ball qualies and the courts are not in great shape but lots of courts with lots of open space around it to do activities.

Nice air conditioned club house and viewing area. With lots of court time and located with convenient highway access. Photo: Tennis Twins of Miami.

Royal Palm Tennis: what do users think?

Yes, That's A Grub Worm.: I have to give 5 stars for nostalgia alone! Another 5 stars for the amazing experience I lived thru as a 12 y o - almost 14 y o teen in the mid 1980s. Mary Jo Fernandez was a few yrs older & she was the 'privileged' 1 (well earned privileged tho👏) who was allowed to practice with Don Perrine on the 'exclusive' I guess...1 court in front of clubhouse. We would watch in absolute amazement, all wanting to be/play like her! The little J Bush kids played in that league, Dowling something something, but they were nvr allowed to hang out with us 'rebel' kids lol who would wander off to Burger King (where i threw away my retainer once oops, but we went back and retrieved it from garbage cuz they aren't cheap!) a lot, along with looking for innocent enough trouble in the suburban streets leading to Dixie hwy and since their Gpa was a VP at that time, I can understand that fact. Mr. Dowling had taken my mom on a date during their Gables High years in the 1950s and fast forward 60 yrs later from their 1 date and 30 yrs from my RP days...I would run into him...guess where? A tennis court no doubt, but...in W. North Carolina! And in a tiny storage unit next to courts that he rented along with my boss of a small non mainstream newspaper & rented for separate reasons, but for almost 4 yrs...I had been going to get papers from said unit, not knowing the 'tennis pro' whom we shared it with...was a man who ran the Miami league I played in 30+ yrs prior and had that date with my mom. Thx to ICE in Miami lol Polar Palace...my mom met my dad in the 60s there. But ya, the 😲 holy cow of running into him in NC, after all those decades...truly a small world! I remember the clay courts, I didn't like playing on, but they served great purpose as to where a ball landed, inside, outside or on the line with a great ball print👍! Having to always wear white. Having to go thru a trial period to be accepted into club as a jr member, unlike most of my friends there whose parents were members but competing and proving oneself was a natural part of life and I was never made to feel like an outsider. My last memories were shortly before I would turn 14, and racing to the clubhouse walls to see where I placed. I placed #2 in girls 14 and something age bracket and the girl above me in #1 spot, shoot name is escaping me but she was a beauty, I do remember that and she played like a pro! Honduras or Nicaragua comes to mind first but I'd hv to deep dive to be precise. Those years were such a great, but short era in my life and filled with epic memories! I have some pictures stashed somewhere of that era. If Royal Palm is comparable to then, now...I highly recommend this club!

Naiomi Crowell (TeenQueen): I have been a member since 2018. This tells you that I haven't left, I have been to many tennis camps, Key Biscayne, Sanchez Casal, etc. This is one of the best ones yet. If you go here, you won't regret it. The only thing I don't like is we have to wear white clothes only, and most of the courts are clay courts, which is not a good idea to wear WHITE clothes. If you fix that, then I wouldn't have anything else to complain about. All I have to say is, good job. Whoever is reading this, have an amazing rest of your day.

Josef Silny: I have been a member since 2012 and the club is managed amazingly well. Even though reservations for the courts are not possible, In all the years I have played I never had to wait for a court.. There are many opportunities to play and many excellent pros to give lessons.

Michael Friedman: Courts are immaculate, members are welcoming and friendly, and the tennis is first class. Can't ask for more from a tennis standpoint. In the future, it would be great to see the locker rooms upgraded. Other than that, it's the perfect place for tennis!

Clarissa Buron: This club is private, well run, no frills, but always optimal. It is fantastic for children because they have a no stress teaching with just the right amount of push to motivate the young ones to compete with each other.

Marco T Herrera: Tennis club with about 24 courts, well maintenance.First class club, no restaurant just a club house. Did no get to see the whole club.

Sasha Zelenov: This is an awesome place to play tennis as it is very clean, tough, motivating, and in a good environment.

Josu Gaubeka: Good youth program with memberships and weekly clinics

Maria Grazia Salvador (MG): Amazing clay courts!

Matías Gagliardone: Nice club although a bit expensive. And it’s funny that they make you dress all in white as if it was Wimbledon...

Miami Beach Tennis Center: what do users think?

Rishi Arora: My friends and I came to Miami Beach tennis center for a tennis trip and the facilities, pro and Lori who manages the place are all absolutely amazing people. We were treated so well, recommendations on places to go and got some really cool swag! The courts here are well maintained for a great tennis experience.

paul schneider: Courts are in great shape. People are super nice and helpful. Loved my pro Brian who helped my game immensely. The operator Lori was amazing and helped coordinate our mens’ tennis weekend.

Andy Zaino: I just want to say what a professional and a pleasure Lori is at the miami beach tennis center she treated us like family and we came back three days in a row even though we drove over a half hour just to be at her facilities and with her warm hospitality

Emily Mulvey: I’m an advanced beginner and had a lesson with Luchy. She was amazing! Great energy and a hard workout. High recommend

Anne Kathrin Buzio: My comments are based on the experience with my 9 yo. kid over the past year and a half. It was very hard to get private coaching, coaches come and go all the time or are busy in the afternoons and most have no great coaching background anyways. We switched to the Academy hoping for better and more stable coaching, but it turned out to be a "playtime" kind of training between kids of very different skill levels, more or less the same age. This upsetting, because the management knew we wouldn't be satisfied, because of previous comments, etc. To get a refund on 3 rainy days, we had to call and text many times, which was absolutely unnecessary since they have our payment method on file.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns. All of our coaches are PTR are certified and very experienced. We would like to have the opportunity to sit down with you in person and address any issues.

Abylay Ospan: Great facility, but the booking process needs improvements. Bookings are available only by phone, which is very hard to reach (no answer most times). One day I tried to book by SMS. I didn't receive booking confirmation but charged the next day as no show-up. My claim declined by arguing that this is how it works. Next time I will ask to double-check my bookings.
Response: Thank you for your feedback. We have taken this into issue to heart and are now launching an online booking system as of January 2022 called CourtReserve. Hope to see you on the courts soon.

Lee Martin: Nice facility. However, as someone else mentioned, the booking process is terrible. Messages and emails are unanswered. Texting the instructors directly is not better It is very frustrating and they really need to improve communications.
Response: Thank you for your feedback. We have taken this issue into consideration and are excited to announce that we will be launching a new online booking system as of January 2022 called CourtReserve. Hope to see you on the courts soon.

Cheryl Arnold: Love this place! Had a great lesson with Teddy. He’s super knowledgeable and a superb hitter. Management was responsive and accommodating. Would highly recommend if you are looking for the best clay courts in Miami.

Clare Baldo: I recently joined the club. Everybody is super friendly. They have a lot of patent as I am a beginner. A plus is that I always find parking and availability of courts.

V Som: Great overall location for tennis and very nice people! Lori runs one of the best tennis centers in America

Kirk Munroe Tennis Center: what do users think?

Emilio Meléndez: Great place to play tennis, lots of neiborhood tennis players and just a really nice 👌. I have been comming here since 1989. Norberto the Director and Mayra are just so organized and si welcoming.

Luca Miami Florida: Quite expensive ($12) if you use the court for training with a couch, otherwise it's a few bucks if you want to hit with a friend. Available 2 walls for practice. Bathrooms always clean, the courts are not in great shape I hope they can redo them soon.

Mario Moran: The premier Tennis Center in Coconut Grove this has many stories of many EX players that have played on this court

Maxwell: Pretty good courts it’s too bad they prioritize lessons for children over other people. The coaches for children take forever to get off the courts too once their ‘time’ has finished. You know you guys can talk with parents OFF of the court? Self awareness level is not high.

David Rosen: This tennis court is located in paradise. However they may as well not have staffing. The staff are either rude, unorganized or speak no English. I have no issue with the language barrier as I am fluent living in miami and love Latin culture, However if someone should not speak Spanish and there is a crime or life safety issue which one party only speaks English it could be a problem. This has been reported to the manager Norberto. Let’s see if this change for the better here. Maybe online reservations would save some issues.

Cecilia Reyes: I have been playing in these courts for years, always clean, organized and the people taking care of the facilities are always nice and respectful.Plenty of area for the kids to run around too, even though playground with the bars etc is small.

Camilo Sandoval: Great public tennis courts in a nice part of town. Plenty of meters to park around the complex. $2 per hour to play in the evenings, max of 1 hour of play if there are people waiting behind you. Good lighting and nets. The court has some uneven areas around the serve lines but overall is in good condition to play. Restrooms and water fountains available.

Kandi Tailor: I took tennis lessons last year at this park, and I love the facility here! They have a good tennis court and jungle gym with fitness equipment for pull-ups and other exercises. There is five tennis court and they assigned it on a first come first served basis. I highly recommend this court, this is the best so far I've been to in Miami!

Carlos Santamaria: Park and court are great for the community to enjoy. Manager and staff are friendly and always attentive to the needs of the people of the Grove.

steffi sarmiento mena: Since little, I’ve been going to Kirk Munroe Tennis Center. The courts are a great quality, the exercise area is in great condition, the playground is perfect for little ones, and the large tree at the center is always a great place to monkey around.

Brian Lutz (Backhand City): Director of Tennis Rick Fagel runs a first class operation with beautifully manicured fast dry tennis courts and included one hard court with pickleball now available. You must be a resident or guest to play at this club. They have junior and adult tennis programs including a staff for private tennis instruction.

Harrison C. Davies: Very well known Tennis Courts in the area in one of the most beautiful residential communities in all of Miami! Staff is super friendly and area is very secure. The Tennis courts are an extension of the beautiful heath spa and are right next door to everything you need such as locker rooms. #quayside #thetowersofquayside #tennis #hoa

North Miami Beach Tennis Center: what do users think?

Ned Azimov (IG: simplifiedtennis): Courts are very well maintained as well as the groups that come to train here 👍🎾

Laura Rubinstein: Easy to deal with. Called and showed up. Minimum was $10/person for 1.5 hours (even if you don't stay that long). Har-Tru clay courts are cool to play on. They do leave a lot of green sand on your shoes. There are several shoe brushing and washing stations on the property. We were able to get loaner rackets for free just by leaving ID at the pro shop.

Martin D: Courts not well maintained. Usd 15 per person per hour, fences broken and the nice thing is when you tell the person about this, the answer was rude and said "it's not my job, tell the manager"...awful!

Ashley Gomes: This place ever open, and if it's going to be closed on the weekends, one wonders what's the point? At least the practice courts should be open 7 days a week

Erica Feldman: Love coming here! The coaches are amazing. And management is fantastic! I have been taking private lessons and they are wonderful. #CoachNed

Alina Gershenson: The academy is great. Rafa who is in charge really takes each child’s strengths and weaknesses into account and build on them. My daughter loves training there.

adam pollock: Things have improved immensely since Jimmy B took over. Great place to play tennis. Courts are in superb condition.

Fernando Pezzarossi: The place is nice. I go there to use the walls which need a little TLC. Overall I enjoy going there!

Allen Rabinovich: Clay needs a bit more maintenance, lights are powerful though

VAD S: As a professional tennis player I recommend this court. Very clean aria and friendly staff
