vonCarol Kinchens: Haven't been to this Skating Rink in years. Place we rented out for a Birthday party and it did not disappoint. The DJ was awesome, the staff were well accommodating, the kids enjoyed themselves to the fullest, the pizza was fresh and the wings were tasty. I would recommend if you just want to enjoy with family and friends this would be a good place.

Me and my SO had to rent blades and most of the ones we were given were defective in some capacity. Other than that. It was fun! Music, well maintained rink, and arcade games kept us entertained for an hour or so.

Maisie Wong: Great value for the fun, but the place could be operated more efficiently especially the food service. What they don't tell you is that the kitchen takes a break from around 4pm to 6pm. Therefore, if you arrive during that time period and anyone in your party is starving, you are out of luck. Luckily for the starving child in my party, one of the guys behind the food counters made an exception. Place also gets warm really fast when it fills out unlike the ice rink which keeps is pretty cool always.

Max: Great staff and music awesome to enjoy skating with family. However, the delay waiting on food is too long. They should have more staff in the kitchen. They only had one cashier and one cook. They did best they could but it was very busy for two people. But we had a great time.

I go to order fries and drinks for my girls to be told that they are not serving food. Therefore I just order the drinks. I paid. cash for the drinks had to ask for my receipt twice. Then I had to ask for the coins from my change just to be told that they did not have any coins. Less then ten minutes letter I see someone eating French fries. I go to the front to question whether or not they were serving food. There were two employees and a guy standing around talking. So throughly explained the situation. One employee immediately left. So I explained again to the young lady that was there again the situation. She told me to wait. She left and came back helped another customer them after about minutes comes back to me asking me what I needed. I left!! Stop hiring kids that don’t want to work!

Fit Like Me Miami: We went for a birthday party for my niece recently. It's like a blast from the past as they kept the decor from the 90s with neon and lightning bolt rugs. Place needs some TLC because it looks a bit run down, needs updating and the bathrooms were dirty. The skating rink itself was great. Skate rentals easy, clean skates too. The food was not great but I wasn't expecting much options. They did have wine and beer which was a nice surprise to find on the menu. Thumbs up for that. Fun place good vibes for a family outing. Might want to eat before you get there though.

Angela Davis: Absolute highlight of our trip!! We rented a dual kayak and were given directions on where to go/what to see. The lagoon at dusk was FULL of manatees, coming up for air and hanging around; it was such a special experience. We then went out to the main part of the ocean and caught sunset over the city. This was a bit of a challenge but was worth it - definitely do if you have experience & aren't afraid of the waves. We made it back within our 1-hour time limit and got to enjoy some more manatee time before we finished. If you go towards dusk, highly recommend bug spray - we were eaten up by gnat-type bugs over the still lagoon water.

Joanna Vasquez: What a fun place to visit. We went for a Teacher Appreciation promotion. We rented single kayaks. It was super easy to do. We showed up, there was plenty of parking. We checked in, left an ID, signed their waiver, and then we were off to get life vests and paddles/kayaks. They also rent bikes and paddle boards. (We stuck with kayaking for the day.) the weather was gorgeous and the water and scenery beautiful once we got out. I would recommend taking lunch and picnicking on their many tables or surrounding grass area. Another tip, show your reservation for kayaking to the guard/park entrance official that you booked a trip with VKOC and they will waive the $8 park fee. And then enjoy the beaches and scenery.

C J: This was the highlight of our whole trip! I highly recommend this location for paddle boarding, kayaking or mountain bike. Friendly staff and very afford prices. You won’t find a better view in my opinion. Iguanas and puffer fish everywhere. Even seen a few trumpet fish.

Emma Almeida: Amazing tour! Saw several manatees including a mother and baby. We also saw several egrets and herons too, so many fish in the water. Very thankful for the way the guides handled one of our friends when the got a little too excited over the manatees. They went over and quietly explained things. So professional and so appreciated. We had a great time and will be back for the snorkeling trip this summer.

Michael Smith: *update* I’m not sure what prompted the owner to write such a petty and untruthful reply to my review but please get help for your anger. I would have loved nothing more than to see a manatee and take no pride in writing this. But people should know as the season ends, sightings are more infrequent. They call the tour the “Manatee Photo Safari” but we did not see a single manatee. I’ve read other reviews from the past few weeks and it seems to be a recurring theme. They guide told us that we could retry the tour on a different day but, like almost everyone on the tour we were not from the area and do not have the time. I believe they knew about the lack of sightings in the past few weeks but chose not to tell customers. I understand that there are no guarantees in life or the tour but calling Manatee Photo Safari is deceiving. We did see a pelican and iguana but, those are quite common. My brothers went the following day and did not see a manatee either. The guides were nice and worked with the tools they were given. Overall I’d say skip the tour and save $85 per person.

Jillian Alonge: I rented kayaks this weekend with friends and we had a blast! Great location and pricing, plus you get free parking (usually $8) when you show your rental confirmation. The staff was great, explained everything and helped us launch and get back in safely. I highly recommend, we’ll definitely go back and rent at VKOC again!

Nyree Lewis: Great spot! We rented a tandem clear kayak and a single and they were great. Such a relaxing hour. we enjoyed riding over to the beach finding shells and looking for the manatees. Most times you can also go over to the Miami skyline. Our safety was important to them and conditions weren’t right to go over that day.Definitely recommend and will be back in the future:)

Alicia Thomas: We went on the Kayak/photo tour on January 6th 2021. The tour was wonderful! Saw plenty of Manatees, birds and lizards. The guide was really nice and personable. We got the clear kayak, which I’m not sure was worth it because the sides are higher than a normal kayak and so we made noise when we were paddling. We also spent time on a beach which was nice and had a good story. I would 100% do this again, just get another kayak.

Raising Royalty: ABSOLUTELY AMAZING STAFF!! Landon and Kyle made me feel so comfortable on my first parasailing ride! It was literally one of the scariest but calmest things I've ever done. They made me feel confident and safe the entire time! I wouldn't have had a great experience if it wasn't for their friendly personalities!

Marissa Iles: The experience and customer service was amazing. I was able to communicate with Annabelle through email in advance who addressed all my questions. When attempting to arrive for my reservation traffic was blocked in multiple directions so my driver could not drop me off but Angel picked me up and got me to the location safely. Last but not least Jason did an excellent job as my flyboarding instructor. I highly recommend.

ted dorset: HANDS DOWN THIS WAS A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! We opted for the 2 activity package and Parasailing is absolutely AMAZING! I am afraid of heights and found this to be the best thing I've ever done. The staff is Excellent! The team of Landon and Tom was perfect, with jokes, knowledgeability, and prowess was absolutely phenomenal. They made this experience even better than expected. Tom is an expert in every sense of the word. We opted to "not get wet", and he was able to dip just our feet in the water from so far out!!! It was fantastic! This was so good that I wanted to go again before we even landed back on deck, WITHOUT GETTING IN THE WATER😃😲🤯😲😃 OH MY, the view was spectacular! We could see all around Miami! It was so calm and serene being up that high in the air. We thought it would be so different, but it was supremely relaxing and pleasant!!! If I could I would do this over and over again! Afterwards we ran Jet-skiis!!! These are fast! 51mph fast! The instructions and safety precautions were precise and easy to understand! Lap after lap of the "Fast Zone" was soooo much fun! Apologies that I cannot remember the lead's name, but he had the camo gaiter on and was on point with everything!!! This was an AWESOME experience through and through. What a great day, with a great place to have it, and an awesome team to provide it. Bravo Miami Watersports, Bravo! Shout out to "Flash".... LoL 😂

Karena M: The directions on how to find them are confusing... however, they are so easy to find. Once you continue down the pier, they are located to the right. I thought it was going to be so much harder. I was happy about this. They do have yellow flags with smiley faces on it. Check the weather prior to booking. I see alot of bad reviews because of this. I knew the days I would be in Miami and made sure to book the day that had the BEST weather. When i got out of my cab, Sal made it his business to greet and attend us. I thought that was impressive. I still had ONE foot in the cab. Lol. He was such good help. This excursion is EXPENSIVE. I paid $89 through expedia.com. So it was $178 for two people. When i arrived, i was told that i had to pay an additonal fee of $58 each. Which was $116 for two. Then i was also offered the option to pay for photo's. Which was $39 + tax. Overall i spent an additional $160. So this excursion was a total of $338. I also left a $20 tip so that brought up my total to $358. Although this was alot of money, i am happy to let you all know that IT WAS WORTH IT. After paying we sat off to the side and waited. Once they had 12 people, they asked us to start boarding the boat. They had all of us take off our shoes and socks. They are not allowed on the boat. We were also asked to leave all of our personal belongings. Some people did keep their phones with them. I didnt. It was all stored away and locked into a locker. My things stood safe and i appreciated and loved that they wait for everyone to be present and watching when they opened the locker for us to collect our things after the parasail. We were soo lucky to sail with Pierre and Anouk. I love Anouk, she was small, powerful and mighty. She reminded me of myself SO much. Pierre was equally the best, very informative and friendly. They made this entire experience the best. I did this excursion with my daughter. She's 10 years old and was so excited to do this. The group of individuals we were with, were the BEST. We all cheered eachother on and gave eachother feedback on how our experiences were. I cannot explain in words how great of a feeling that way. Both Pierre and Anouk talked about how amaze they were by that. So IF you decide to book this, be open, be friendly, cheer eachother ON, talk to eachother... it makes the experience better. I wanted my child to have the best time of her life so i purposely spoke to everyone and cheered for everyone during there turns. The boat ride was great. I wish they had the option to book a few hours with Pierre and Anouk on a boat ride. They are just THAT much fun. Or even AFTER the parasail, having the option to still hang out for 30mins more on a little ride. I would of paid extra for that. Both Anouk and Pierre go through the rules. They demo how the equipment goes on. Then pair by pair, we all took turns getting geared up. We had life vest on and the parasailing gear. When it was my turn, i felt that the equipment was solid and it felt safe while in the air. They showed us how to access the emergency parachute if needed as well. Overall this was the highlight of our entire trip. Being that high up in the air, seeing the open ocean and being free. The staff was so helpful and friendly which made this experience even better. I can't wait to come back. I would do this again and also try the banana boat. It looks like alot of fun. Btw PAY for the photos. Anouk took over 100 photos and they were amazing.

Cheyenne Bejjani: The people there are basically liars, they told me to wait up in queue and sign the waiver after I told them I wanna do the banana boat. When I arrived at the check-in after 30 minutes, they informed that there were no banana boats available, and I was surprised to see that they also lied about the riding time. They said it’s 25 minutes, and then turns out it’s only about 15 minutes. Bad customer service, rude people, and business that values profit and false marketing strategies more than customers themselves. This is disgusting

Cherish Thomas: Tom (captain) and Sam (co-captain) were great! While we were out on the boat, Tom joked with the passengers and made us laugh. Sam was in charge of suiting everyone up, and for those that don't know, the suiting process can be a bit intimate - but Sam was very professional and courteous the whole time. Both Tom and Sam made me feel safe and relaxed. I greatly enjoyed the whole experience, and I would absolutely return to Miami Watersports the next time I'm in Miami.

Brian Lutz (Backhand City): I enjoy the atmosphere at Flamingo Park. Great people watching and lot of fun characters and of course great tennis hydra courts. Parking in the lot can be a bit tricky depending on the time of year. It's free but a lot of tourists use it and walk to the beach. Some of our Backhand City peeps play in the tournament there and have had great success! Courts are in amazing shape and have an underground irrigation system. Courts are available for night play. Lots a great people watching at this facility from novice to expert tennis players. Players can reserve courts. Miami Beach residents get a discount. It's a bit on the expensive side if you play a la carte but there are membership options if you are a volume player. Hint: There is no pickleball at Flamingo Park Tennis Center

NC Craven: Great har-tru clay courts. Fabulous customer service by Justin and the entire staff. Facility was spotless very well kept.

Peter J Ricci: Flamingo Park Tennis Center has 17 Clay Courts and is a privately managed public tennis club. The club has group clinics Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9am and Monday to Thursday evening group clinics at 8pm and they cost $20 to join and run for 90 minutes. You can also book courts for a small fee for Miami Beach residents and a little extra for out of towns folk.

Murad Omar: I love the guys and I love coming here to play tennis. The courts are well taken care off, and the staff is great. I also regularly take lessons there, and I am super happy with the tennis lessons as well.

Donéy Valdes: As a resident of Miami Beach and a Concierge I love Flamingo Park for many reasons, especially with the continued development throughout the pandemic. The courts are very well maintained. Unfortunately it has been increasing difficult to play with the influx of people that have either moved or visiting Miami Beach. I was told that the website allows you to book ahead of time which is a great tool...in theory. What was not mentioned is that whether you go online or call in you can only book 1 days in advance for non-members and 2 days for members (I was told 2 days regardless of membership). I've attempted to book numerous times and availability is scarce at best with courts almost always completely booked. After being told that I couldn't book more then 1 day in advance unless I was a member, I asked how much a membership would be. The associate said "IF" they become available it would be about $400 per year for residents and $600 for non-residents, and it would be till October when they possibly would become available. It is disheartening that they do not allow bookings more than 1 day in advance and that they won't make accessibility to residence more of a priority other than a discounted fee. ($12/pp currently) Please do better by your local residents.

For the first-timer, the Meetup / Beginner practice events are top notch, with veteran paddlers mixed in roughly one to one with the new folks, to help smooth and accelerate the learning experience. It's a great way to be introduced to the sport. For the member, Puff has something for the recreational paddler who just enjoys the outdoor workout, as well as the most competitive paddler striving for Team USA, and everyone in between. Puff is highly competitive on the Florida circuit, with only a few serious rivals mainly out of Tampa. Team USA coaches provide the infrastructure that has Puff consistently in the top tier. It has also been a factory for producing Team USA paddlers, unparalleled by any local team. Membership is also an amazing bargain, at $20 per remaining month in the calendar year, and full year renewal discounts. That includes 4 available member practices per week, use of the club outrigger canoes, and (at least for the last several years) Florida race fees for those who qualify for the races. Compare that to renting a canoe or kayak and getting a lesson...you use that up in 1-2 days.

There are dragon boats and outrigger canoes - multiple practices , nutrition and weight training advice, social events and great friends working as a team for races and community events!

The organisation is really amazing and the best I ever seen. The people are really nice , fees are really cheap and the most IMPORTANT : they are really good, strong and challenging!!!! They travel all around US and other countries to Race. I love this team!!!

Arriving a little before 3 cut in to our 2 hour kayak session since staff told us they close at 5PM and we needed to sign paperwork and waivers and by the time we got in to the water it was 30 mins in to our 2 hour session. Their website said they were open on SAT until 5:30PM through February. I hope they update that on their website since we didn’t get our full 2 hours. It was also hard to move the kayak from the location to the loading dock.

Tanysha Sanchez: Vincent was amazing!! We had to reschedule twice due to weather and other circumstances and he managed to still squeeze us in since we leave the next day! Great experience and cost effective! Highly recommend.

Tomomi Date: South Beach Kayak offered a lesson and tip for our puddle boarding. Super friendly handsome owner and cute dog(Chase) welcomed us at the shop. Very reasonable and great location to tour around the channels. Love to come back again!

Albani Pinto: Loved this place! the staff was so helpful, nice, and welcoming. we did the two hours and it was more than enough! the only thing that was a little annoying was that you have to drag your kayak across the street to the water. Tiffany Brianna: This was my first time kayaking and overall I really enjoyed it; however I wouldn’t give the company a complete 5 stars. As a beginner I feel like they should have someone by the water watching you just in case anything goes wrong; however thats not the case. Once you arrive at the Kayak Facility the person at the desk will give you instructions on what to do, you take your kayak, and then everything else is all on you, no one is by the water with you even if you are a beginner, so I highly recommend staying close to the shore if it is your first time. Another thing that I wasn’t a fan of was the fact that you have to drag your kayak to the water and back on your own. The walk isn’t far; however the kayaks are a little heavy, so some help would have definitely been nice. Other than that the people are nice, and it's definitely a fun experience.

Judy Sun: The Haunted Circus Miami was a great family friendly event. It's inside Tropical Park. You can see signs directing the way. You have 3 parking choices. Self- free a little far. The $5 self parking or valet for $10. The tickets are sold online. Once you buy your tickets you will get a detailed email of everything. The circus is big. It has a petting zoo, food vendors, magicians, pumpkin carving, a quest and much more my advice is to get here an hour before the show. It will take u over an hour to do it all. The circus is not scary. It's more cute for smaller children. In fact you will see many little ones all around. The show is good. I liked it. It was entertaining. I had a good time. The stage is in the middle of this big, open spacey, covered tent. You sit on top of hay square. It is pretty comfortable. I had a good time. It was put together well.

K. Perkins: Thank you for a one of a kind experience! My daughter and I really enjoyed ourselves. My daughter may become the next equestrian because she really loves horses, riding horses, feeding the horses and watching the shows. We are bonding after losing my other daughter, her sister and this was the perfect place. We were able to get a library card, but some plants for the house, exercise (by keep moving) get henna tattoos and try different food trucks. Thank you for having these FREE community events, that’s welcomes inclusion as well, we had such an amazing time.

Aaryn Wright: We came here as a spooky date night for the Haunted Circus experience, and we loved it!! It's best to get your tickets and come while you still can! It's a great experience for kids, even small kids and also adults have a great time and are entertained too! The Miami culture is still engrained into the show and into the foods they have available, it's really worth the visit. With all the mini side quest they have available before the main show, you'll have a blast as it's so interactive.

Marie Willis: Had not been on this park to chill in years. This is a very nice park to go and relax, have family fun or party event. It is very spacious so that you can spread out and not interfere with others. The attendant come around often to empty trash. The people we encountered were very friendly. If you don't like dogs, this park might not be for you because it has a dog park and people bring their dogs not only to the dog park but to the park itself. I think they could a more bathrooms. The bathroom is not the cleanest and toilet paper rolls were empty and not replaced, so if you go to the bathroom take your own tissue. They need to have a bathroom attendant or makes sure the park attendant check the bathroom as often as they empty the trash cans outside. In my opinion the bathroom should be just as clean if not cleaner than the outside.

Stefanie M&M: Haunted Circus false advertising for sure. All over social media they were very dark and omninous. Performers on the video looked nothing like that in person. It was a complete joke just stuff for kids very disappointed. Also no signs anywhere. We had no idea where to go in the park. Super disappointed.

Andy Beall: I have to hand it to tropical park. Went to a birthday party and a storm came through, but those shelters held up nicely. They also are a testing and vaccine sight and (at least yesterday) the traffic to get in was manageable and I didn't get lost trying to find the shelter where the party was.

Sherri Schintgen: Wow, this surf shop owner was amazing with customer service!!! We were visiting the area with plans to go paddleboarding at Oleta State Park however one of our fins got broken while in overnight storage at the hotel. I called ahead to make sure they carried fins and they were right down the road from Oleta. When we pulled up it was early mornin and we were the first to arrive. The owner met us in the parking lot, looked over our situation and went to work replacing our fin. It was broken off inside the slots so it was not an easy task. He climbed right up into the bed of our truck so we didn't have to untie them or take them down. Actually he had to climb up and down multiple times because our tool was stripped out. After about 20 minutes, we were set and ready to paddle. We were shocked at the level of customer service here, owner is a great guy and the cost was minimal. HAPPY PADDLERS 😊🌞🌊🏖

Matt Williams: Even with the weather being as extreme as it was the animals still had enough energy to be out for us to view/enjoy. The exhibits are laid out in a way that makes you feel like you're actually in the jungle or a part of a Jurassic Park movie set. The audio playing throughout each walkway put you on edge thinking something was about to walk out on you or towards you. The staff were extremely professional/helpful. Overall one of the best zoos we have ever attended.

Michelle Kearl: Truly an incredible experience! I've been to lots of zoos and this one has its own unique experiences! We spent the whole time there, 10am-5pm and could have spent even more. Brought lunch in with us, lots of water spots to fill bottles and mist stations to cool you off. If you are debating going do it! We only have a few days in the area and wondered if it would be worth the time spent and it was. 🐅🐯🐘🐸

Katya Rusova: The zoo itself is great. They have a large variety of animals and they provide educational information. I really recommend purchasing your tickets online, it saves you time and money. Some of the exhibits were closed but we still had a lot of fun. As for food, it was average, just like in any other park or zoo. Overall a great experience and I will definitely be visiting again.

Andrea Echeverria: The best zoo! My family and I had so much fun. The environment is calm but you get to also have fun. They have some great animals and experiences. The animals and their cages seem well taken care of. The zoo is clean and very big. The cycles are also an amazing option to walk a little less. Inside you will find everything you need, there are lots of souvenir and snack stands all over. The refreshing stations are also very useful. I absolutely recommend this place!! Especially if you are looking for a zoo that really cares about their animals.

Every animal appears well cared for and it was the only zoo I have been to where every animal is active/alert. This place is huge and I’d recommend for anyone to rent a pedal bike. They cost a bit much but because the zoo also has a botanical garden, there’s a lot of plants and no animals on some trails. The bikes come in different sizes to accommodate family size. There’s a water park for children and a playground. Remember to bring bathing suits and sunscreen. Sportbikepc 1: Awesome Zoo! We had a great time. We rented a bike to get around it Made it a bit easier but you better be in shape .. grounds and animals appeared to be very well kept. The water park was also nice for my girls.. Hope to come back again!

Jeremy D. Boyd: Quite possibly the best zoo in the country. The cageless feel to the place is really amazing but this is a large, sprawling zoo with such a great deal of experiences. Downside right now is the monorail being temporarily closed and there are a few animal exhibits being revamped but still an amazing park. Highly recommended. We spend hours and hours there when we go!

Pat: The zoo has only gotten better with time. The family vehicles are a must if you have at least 2 adults and 2 kids. The vehicles are perfect for keeping out the sun but you need 2 or more people with leg strength to pedal it all day. I loved how they even had row boats to rent to go on the river. The food was pretty good for a zoo. My least favorite was the little river ride near the entrance that was a fee and you basically saw nothing. It was a complete waste of time and money. Other than that it was a good experience

Breanna Baurley: Beautiful zoo. We just bought the year pass for the first time in a few years. They've expanded since the last time we were there. We're planning on taking walks at least once a month this year at the zoo. Lots of trails, good amount of shade, but bring sunscreen. We were there for 3 hours today and saw a bit less than 1/3rd of the animals. If you're worried about the walking rent one of those bikes.

j j: Paid for membership (expensive), and there are only 4 lounge chairs. They must’ve forgotten to tell me that they only have 4 lounge chairs for the many members. Darius (lifeguard) at the pool, has major attitude. Nasty & incompetent, he should not be allowed to work with the public, especially children. Will let the JCC know what a jerk he is. I’ll try to get a refund for the membership.

Caria: We enjoy the gym. Front desk staff is beyond friendly. They always have smiles on their faces when we walk in. The security guard Patrick is a saint. The kindest man we have ever met. He spent time trying to help me find my wedding ring. The equipment is really good. Well structured and they have all the equipment to get a full body workout. Cardio equipment is top of the line.
