Patty Gonzalez: So glad I found this gem. The staff is so knowledgeable and friendly! They have quality feeder insects and the most beautiful healthy dragons I've seen. Forget Petco, if you want a quality reptile go to Miami Reptile Co!
Rush: Staff is always very helpful and extremely friendly. I'm always greeted when I enter and all of my questions are always answered to the best of their ability. Never feel as if any interaction is rushed even when they're busy on a weekend day close to closing time and their happens to be 10+ ppl in the store as well. Just wanted to throw in there they have very reasonable pricing on animals. Highly recommend this place to all reptile enthusiast in the area!

Kevin Ochoa: I'm extremely displeased with his company, I called at the beginning of the week and requested a large number of African soft fur rats. When I was speaking to the customer service rep, she asked what day I would like to pick them up. I stated that I live 3 hours away and was expecting to be there Thursday at opening. I was told there was no problem and that they would have them ready for me. Cut forward to today when I arrive. I was told that they had not received the order, and that I should have called to make sure they have them. When the store opens at 11 a.m. and you live three hours away, it is impossible to call ahead of time. Especially when they told you they would have him ready at opening. I was brushed off when I explained that I was upset, and was told that the owner would get them there when he could. Thankfully the owner was able to get them to the store in about 20 minutes. However this completely delayed my departure from the Miami area and now I am late to pick up my husband from work. Had this been an error on my part I would not be upset about being late to pick up my husband from work, however this was an error on the company's part and it should never have been this way.

Adrian Rios: This is an amazing place a very good variety of animals and great attention
oliver: Do not shop from this location if you’re looking for tarantulas. They are kept in terrible conditions with little to no substrate. Instead use mulch which is not suitable for t’s to burrow and rest comfortably. Most of the enclosures do not have hides either. water dishes are left empty. I also saw a cricket crawling around on the floor when I stopped in to look. 💀 also do not support pet stores that sell exotic wild animals like MONKEYS. LOL

Theseus Pellerano: Bought my first pet snake today, the guys at the store were pretty helpful specially this guy in the photos, he explained everything and made all the set up easy. He also told me that this snake had a lil accident in its tail, but i took it anyway because to me its just beautiful. Overall the store experience was great. I don't get the bad reviews tbh

Jeanne McRae: I recently found Snakes at sunset and I was very hesitant about ordering a snake online because of all the obvious things that could go wrong but against my better judgment, I ordered my daughters snake which was her Christmas present and I couldn't be happier. The woman in charge of the online warehouse was obviously very busy but she very accommodating. I gave her my list of "interests" and she came thru...I will definitely be ordering from them again.

kristie borchert: We purchased a sulcata tortoise and our expirience was wonderful. We ordered from the online website. They were very responsive with all of our concerns and were willing to accommodate special requests. They were careful to not ship until weather was safe and turtle arrived within 16 hours of shipping out from Florida to Oregon. The warm pack was still very much so warm and everything was clean and safe and tidy. The turtle arrived active and healthy and clean they even included a tissue so no peepee would get on the tortoise if he went during shipment. It had a bit of calcium powder on its tail which tells me their reptiles are well fed and cared for. Along with careful detailed instructions how to warm them properly once arrived. I would trust this company 100. With my live orders. Thankyou so much. Pics included the baby was mid stretch.

Candice Thomas: My purchase experience at SAS was amazing. They offer overnight shipping, my little guy was delayed because of the temp in my city was too cold to ship, which I was fine with but I loved the level of concern for my new baby. Communication was great, they were very responsive to all of my inquiries and concerns. I ordered a Frilled dragon. He arrived alive, well and happy in one piece with all fingers and toes. I don’t understand half the bad reviews, they did make me nervous at first but gave it a shot anyways and I’m completely satisfied with my purchase!

christopher brunk: Staff at location was knowledgeable and helpful, online staff was the opposite. I was looking for two snakes I was told online and via text was available. When attempting to purchase they could not be bothered. I then stated I would come in for them. When I got there nothing available. I am literally trying to give you 1000 dollars and they are to busy to take my money. Good to know. Would never recommend this placement. Hopefully the in store staff finds better.
Response: Sorry but our online facility is miles and miles away from our brick and mortar store and we are short handed at the moment to be going back and forth. As you said yourself, yes we are so busy we cant even take your money, becuase we sure dont want the $1000 bucks. Of course we do, we just cant make it happen on your time. We are slammed beyond belief due to demand for our animals online. We wish we could make everyone happy! Website states animals may not be available in store if online. We try our best, but being short handed at facility, and lack of room at brick and mortar store, we just cant always make it happen unfortunately. If you placed your order online we would have dropped it off within an appointed time we would have arranged with you.

Lucia thiel: One of few experiences where I overhear some are wild sourced, but most are bred in house. and the species I desire are ones not commonly bred, but they have proven they have done so on multiple occasions " even babies from such animals bought with the adults " No sick animals, no tests returned with ill health, some parasites which are COMMON at any reptile expo showed on swabs but nothing life threatening. People should QT and treat their animals anyway so the fact they have thumbs down and one stars over the person own lack of knowledge and proper new ownership protocol is NOT that of new moon reptiles, with halloween crab 5 months ago, fire skinks 3 months ago and now Barred tiger salamanders yesterday all received at expo, and they always had information on the animals and are very transparent, the barred where captive grown but wild caught and considering their rarity in my area and the fact many people want them to help educate on tiger /axolotl hybrids and why you shouldn't release either into the wild. it's a needed captive population in our area. and I can't thank them enough... Will always visit when I hear their in town, and one of VERY VERY few captive grown and wild captives I will support.

Ariel Buettner: I recently purchased a juvenile hybino leopard gecko from New Moon Reptiles and could not be happier! I named her (maybe him) Katya, after Katya of Drag Race fame. New Moon answered all of my questions quickly via IG DM, and were even willing to hold onto Katya for about a week after I purchased her while I waited for the remainder of my reptile supplies to arrive. She was shipped around 7pm FL time and I was able to pick her up at the nearest FedEx Shipping Center by 9am in AZ the next morning, where she was kept just behind the desk in a climate-controlled area. Katya is my first reptile, and I was a bit anxious about the process of earning her trust, as I've heard juveniles are more nervous or jumpy than adults. However, she was very active and fully comfortable with handling right out of her deli container. I kept it to a minimum for the first couple of days, but every day since then she's crawled onto my hand voluntarily and will perch on my shoulder for minutes at a time with no signs of stress. Granted, this could just be her personality, but it's my impression that she was handled regularly before she came to me because she is so chill. She eats every mealworm and dubia I offer from tongs or my hand, and also enthusiastically hunts them from inside her cave. I would highly recommend New Moon Reptiles, particularly if you're looking for a leopard gecko that isn't afraid of people.

Craig Haggenjos: New Moon Reptiles: I ordered turtles from NMR: Very easy ordering process. They were shipped cross country overnight. UPS tracking, so you can follow your package. Packaged very professionally. Each turtle individually put in a container with wet moss. Newspaper packed around the the containers to prevent them from being jostled around during shipping. They added a heating pad that was still warm, when the box arrived. Turtles were very alert and moving around, when I opened their containers. Turtles are eating and very active in their new home. Many thanks for such a pleasant experience. I’ll definitely order again from New Moon Reptiles.

Belgarionsedge96: Purchased a BCC true red tail boa from new moon reptiles the beginning of March were very accommodating about shipping as I like in the northeast and it was still pretty cold at the time. Over all a wonderful experience and the boa I got was very health and has settled in to her new home very very well wonderful temperament and eats like a champ.

Sandi Butler: Had purchased a Sulcata from another breeder but watched all of Anthony's videos. When my other breeder fell through I went to Anthony's site and luckily he had a few available. Just like that I had a baby coming! He texted to make sure my phone was a good way to contact and then answered all of my questions. This all happened on a Monday and I had my baby by Wed! Munchkin was in perfect health, ate well and zoomed all around. You can tell that he loves his animals and for being so young is very knowledgeable. He made sure I got munchkin and that I knew if I had any questions or concerns I could always contact him (he was very responsive). If you're looking for a healthy baby reptile, especially the tortoises there is no other choice but Shadows Reptiles!! You won't regret it!!

Lindsay G: I’m so happy my husband and I went with Shadow’s Reptiles! After looking at several other breeders and doing tons of research, we decided to drive to Miami to pick up our Sulcata baby and he made it super easy! We got to pick out which hatchling we wanted and we bought a bag of food to take home. He also sent us a playlist of videos with tips on how to raise/take care of him. His price is awesome, especially since they go for around $150 in the stores. I love that we know exactly where our baby came from too! Our baby is alert, active, and super friendly. We definitely recommend!

Lorra Hargis: Some of the negative reviews made me nervous but my baby Pastel Ball Python arrived perfect, she was a little cold but heat pack was safely at the top. Once she warmed up she was active and fine with being handled. She’s absolutely GORGEOUS. Card included let me know her birth month and year, feeding day and her diet. I’m extremely happy with my purchase…snake is happy and healthy. Paid less than the pet stores in my area…and she’s unique.

J Strah: We had our ball python shipped overnight on Wednesday. He was happy and healthy. No sign of aggression or mites. His normal feeding day is Friday. He was acting hungry(no aggression though), so we fed him late Thursday night. He ate a live hopper(mouse) without hesitation. Very Happy, friendly Ball Python. We couldn't be happier.

David Frias: I ordered a female pewter born on 9/20 and she is beautiful. But I am giving two stars because she is terribly underweight. Her skin was almost curled up. This was my first and last purchase from you guys just because her condition was so poor. The animals condition should be THE most important thing above anything else. Yes I understand some dehydration may occur in one day because of shipping. But I soaked her and her skin still has not "returned to normal". Just own up to your mistakes instead of blaming her condition on other things. And SHE is not a he. Get it right.
Response: Hi David, as explained to you via email earlier the wrinkle in the skin that you are seeing is due to water loss during shipping. This is because of the heat pack used and a lack of drinking water for the time the snake is in transit. A simple soak will add 10-12% water weight back to a baby snake and he will look as fine as he did before he was shipped out.
scott caley: I was skeptical about ordering a snake online and having it shipped to me. I called on Sunday and spoke with the person regarding what I wanted and how I was unsure about ordering online to have a snake shipped to me. The person I spoke with assured me that I have nothing to worry about that its a common issue alot of people face. I decided to give them a shot. On Sunday I ordered a Male Pastel Ball Python and a female Pinstripe Ball Python and was told that my order would be shipped out on Monday and I would get them on Tuesday. About 9:30 Tuesday morning Fed Ex showed up with my delivery. Both snakes are alive and doing good. They are full of energy climbing all over everything in there tank and each other.They both look very healthy and well taken care of. I am going to be in the future ordering more snakes and I will more than likely get them from xyzReptiles as long as they have what I am looking tor. They are a snake business that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to either go to to get their snake or have them shipped to them.

Ian Thomas: I had ordered 2 baby ball pythons, they arrived in a timely manner, all is well. I've owned reptiles and understand what it takes to care for them properly. A day after getting them situated in their new home I noticed they both were having diarrhea problems, very low energy and turning away from food. I took them to the vet who gave them some expensive meds and within 3 weeks of there arrival they both passes away nearly on the same day. Might be a flook but after seeing other reviews I'm sceptical. This was a sad and expensive mistake. Buyers beware. Trash business.

Todd Hicks: Not a single bird was in an adequate Cage for the type of bird. The owner was a complete A-hole he definitely didnt like me at all. He says with no accent what so ever "I don't speak English only spanish". The funniest part about it is he had papers clearly he had to write in enlish and Spanish. I mean it was kinda like I thought I might be on a TV show was how much he was doing to make sure i knew he didn't like me one bit. The poor guy he has working for him was actually trying to help and was funny. He should be the owner he actually tried to communicate with me. So the only thing is I wouldn't advise anyone giving someone money who is that mean to customers. I wish I video.taped him. I'm still waiting for the TV crew to come out and say it was a joke. Plus if he gave me a number for a bird it was just way out of line like no one would pay the numbers he was talking about worst thing though he actually was willing to sell a bonded pair of cherry head conures he says 2000 each. You don't separate them. Don't waste your time.

I bought 2 birds for my son for Christmas and they both died within 2 weeks I tried reaching out to them to see if it’s possible they either give me a refund of $170 one of the birds or atleast one bird. I spent $440 and they didn’t even try to work with me. I would give them zero stars the only reason I’m putting one star is to be able to save someone from going there and purchasing birds that will die within 2 weeks. Pretty sad I really wasn’t asking for much just to do what is right.

Paulina Fiore: 2 years ago I walked into this Petsupermarket to find the bearded dragons eating eachother. They were going to leave her in the back of the store " to regrow her tail" but in actually they were going to leave her to die. Bearded dragons DO NOT regrow their tails. I sadly couldn't save all 3 dragons because Petsupermarket only gave me 10% off for a missing tail instead of thinking about the well being of their animals. It STILL breakers my heart to this day that the other 2 dragons that were also missing limbs, probably died in the back of the store "waiting to regrow their tails" because of their ignorance and neglect. I NEVER stepped into ANY Petsupermarket again. I just wanted to give an update from 2 years ago, that the Bearded Dragon does have bone issues but is overall doing just fine. This picture is from last Christmas so I know it's old, but I thought it was the cutest one.

As soon as you walk in you are greeted, store manager helped me today what an experience, had some issues with my fish with ick and he provided a complete solution. Their fish tanks are very clean and with lots of fish to choose from you wont be disappointed. I also have a dog and like I mentioned before the attention is there and they know their stuff.
Romney Manassa: Great selection and service, especially from Isabel. For its size, the store has a good amount of aquatic supplies, most of them great price. I was especially impressed with the selection of aquatic plants, which are the healthiest, largest, and cheapest I have found anywhere in Miami after years in the hobby. I bought a wide variety over the last couple weeks and so far they are doing fantastic. Special shoutout to Isabel for going above and beyond to help me with this matter even as the store was closing. I'm definitely coming back here and recommending this place to others.
