My wife selected carpet that was installed 3 days later so Scott could get the proper paperwork from the condo office. The finished product was magnificent. Jan Hendrickx: We chose Don Bailey Flooring because they are an established company in southern Florida with Google reviews that seem to back up their motto “Now Is When Price, Service & Trust Matter Most.” After signing the $21,500 contract for the purchase and installation of the tiles, Don Bailey Flooring’s project manager Mr. Prizzi informed us that the tile removal and installation would be performed by his contractor United Flooring and Remodeling Corp with owners Jan Mazulis and Lauren Figueroa. He recommended that we contract United Flooring and Remodeling for the remodeling part of our project so that one contractor would do the entire renovation project under Don Bailey Flooring’s supervision. Therefore, we also signed a $31,000+ remodeling contract with United Flooring and Remodeling Corp. Project manager Prizzi took care of the permits and the work started in the first week of September. Early January after living more than four months in a construction zone, Don Bailey Flooring’s project manager Joe Prizzi and contractor Jan Mazulis abandoned us and left a big mess (see pictures). When Price, Service & Trust mattered most, Don Bailey Flooring let us down. The Price was too high, the Service was minimal, and our Trust has been shattered. One cannot trust the initial quote by Don Bailey Flooring because once you have signed the initial contract and are hooked like a fish, they start increasing the price in any way possible. Two days after I made my first Visa payment, Joe Prizzi visited our condo to adjust the amount of the initial contract based on his exact measurements of the condo area. He was in a big hurry. He increased the original quote for a floor area of 1,100 square feet to $24,000 based on his floor measurements and put a lot of pressure on me to immediately sign the amended contract to prevent delays with the project. He did not let me know how many square feet he had measured but promised me to email a copy of the signed amended contract the next day with full details of the total floor area, costs of materials, labor and permits. He never sent an email but in the second week of August he already requested the second down-payment; I authorized Don Bailey Flooring to charge my Visa credit card again to prevent delays with the project. I also reminded Mr. Prizzi again to send me the details of our contract, specifically the total area covered by the tiles that led to the steep sudden price increase of $2,500. On November 8th he finally sent me his measurement of 1,194 square feet. Then, I measured 1,087 square feet myself which is slightly smaller than the area used for the original quote. Don Bailey Flooring had milked me out of $2,500 because I had put my Trust in Don Bailey Floorings’s project manager Prizzi. The project started the first week of September with the demolition of the old tiles, but the new tiles were not delivered to my condo until the middle of October. Then, on October 28 without having any tile installed Don Bailey Flooring made an unauthorized charge of $10,000 to my Visa card for the final payment. Visa agreed with me and promptly returned the $10,000 to my bank account. Next, contractor Mazulis informed me that he had run out of tiles, and I was forced to spend another $894 to purchase additional tiles from Don Bailey Flooring. Now Don Bailey Flooring had milked me out of a total of $3,394 because I had put my Trust in them. After the tile floor was finished on December 13, contractor Mazulis informed me that I needed to pay him $1,190 for the installation of the baseboards. While both contracts with Don Bailey Flooring and with Mazulis included the words “all materials included” none of the two wanted to pay for baseboards. So, in the end Don Bailey Flooring had milked me of $4,584. After December 13th Don Bailey Flooring project manager Prizzi was nowhere to be seen again and after December 16th their subcontractor Mazulis disappeared. Drywall corners should be 90 degrees square but Mazulis' corner is 84 degrees and ugly. We will not use Don Bailey Flooring ever again.

adam pollock: My wife and I needed many items for our home renovation. Anticipating the shortages, we purchased all of our items well before they were needed. Both of our sales people, Surita Wynn and Ana Blandino were knowledgeable and helpful in the selection process. Later when we realized that we were short on some products and had purchased more than we needed on others, Surita distinguished herself by dealing with our little problems patiently and timely while she had so much going on with other customers. I can’t Recommend Surita enough for anybody looking to easily add luster to their home

Peter Papagiannakis: While this may be a "star" location, it is the messiest, most unorganized, right down dangerous Home Depot I have ever been. Not only they have many items out of stock (understandable) but all items are allover the place. You need to look inside the bins as bins do not contain what they are labeled for and you need to look on all other bins if you are in a bind... I rather drive to another Home Depot or Lowes or another store, even if it's more expensive as my time is a lot more expensive after all!

Adam Borja Garcia (Adán): Just about everything you need for home improvement and maintenance, as well as gardening! This location is almost always super busy. Some employees are helpful, some just find a way to dodge anyone looking like they have questions. It's not very easy to find things like little tool details, so it may be likely you'd need a whole day in this place. Self-checkout is great!

Steven Wise: I've had a lot of experiences in world-class establishments like hotels and restaurants - and I was absolutely blown away by the top-notch service I received from Alfredo, the manager. This is a manager that places like the Four Seasons would be lucky to have! He listened to my issue and quickly found a solution, and did it with such professionalism and poise.

Lucas “Bufi The Artist” Tamayo: Always a pleasure shopping in the garden center with my cousin. She selected several bougainvilleas that were all beautiful. I bought two purple ones a few days ago. So nice. Home Depot has added inventory in many departments ahead of the summer season. Today I found this store particularly well stocked.

OLGA GUERRA: Worst Home Depot in the area. Customer service reps are incompetent and slow. As you can see no one is at the registers and we’ve been waiting over 15 minutes. Two or three employees gathered discussing their day. No regards for the customers!!!

Fabio Cabrera: #1 South Florida store. Always packed, always busy. Returns Department always packed, usually moves fast. New return policy: no receipt, no refund or store credit either. Make sure if not utilizing self checkout register, that your register personnel inputs your email to save your receipts. Additionally, make sure the register personnel has change in their register and doesn't short change you, because they don't have change in the register when paying in cash. Self checkout registers are only good for credit card payments. Parking lot is big, but always at 80% full, at all hours of the day. Located along a busy street (SW 8th Street, US 441). Just like everywhere else, prices are higher, if not triple in prices when it comes to building materials. Police officers, usually 2 of them on scene throughout the day. Always self employed workers on exterior of premise looking for a quick job. Most employees on the floor are not so helpful when asking for assistance. They'll usually point you to the area of the product you're looking for or just respond by saying, "If it isn't there, then we don't have it". The store has been remodeled and sections have been located to others areas of the store. Overall, expect to be around lots of people. There's another Home Depot nearby in Coconut Grove. Less busy, but prices are higher due to the location.

Colneitha Henriques: Customer service wasn't that great today. I went to buy plywood and I took up a sheet that was $12.23 when I reach to the cashier it was $23. and some change. I explained to the cashier that wasn't the price. So I walked back to the section and a sales person was assisting me, but he wasn't no help because I asked him 4x to speak to a supervisor or a manager and he didn't called them. All he said that they placed the plywoods in the wrong spot and I said all 13 of them and he said yes. So I said why are you not calling the S or the M he said they won't do anything about it.

Fergie Gutierrez: Unfortunately the conditions of the parking lot were very bad. Trash everywhere, carts everywhere, parking cement blocks were detached from floor. This is all part of the pick up experience, extremely dirty. Felt like a flea market. I know the potential Home Depot has and this store is extremely neglected with cleanliness. I’d rather drive further for a cleaner store

Odalys Florido: On May 22 had visited two home depot before getting to this location on 8th street, looking for the Mold Killing primer, the last one I had visited said that this store showed that they had 15 cans. When I got there, they said that the information in the system was wrong, I was very upset! but I had the pleasure to be helped by Kevin Fernandez, whom not only went above and beyond checking in the entire store, he check for store that might have it, but not so much luck, but also called me the next day, as he promised, to confirm that unfortunalty they didn't have the primer and apologized for the inconvenience I had. His excellent customer service made me stop for a few minutes and write this review. Kevin you really made a difference. Thank you,
