Main Library: what do users think?

Manuel Hernandez (Manny): I was delighted to find the variety of titles in Spanish in the public library here. I got my card today and intend to make use of this amazing public service. I am glad that it’s available to all of us.

Tia Seeall: The library system can improve for their patrons. Please add fax machines to your services allowed! Make sure vagrants are monitored because a difficult situation can occur for patrons if these people can choose to attack.

Yolanda Mendieta: Is excellent place for everybody, very secure with cameras, police, quiet place and they help a lot to the kids servings tutoring, books advisers, very nice and educated people I am being around this place with my kids for more than 13 years....I CAN SAY THIS IS MY SECOND HOUSE FOR MY AND MY KIDS, plus the library is located in the heart of downtown with all access transportation around you. CAME IS FUN WITH A LOT ACTIVITY AROUND.

J C: Great staff, helpful too. This library is spacious and filed with lots of resources. Only suggestion is their hours should be until 8 like the sister branches.

Alexander Burg: Beautiful public library in downtown Miami. Very quite place. The libraríans are very helpful too.

Carlos René Cruz: I loved my experience at the library. I just moved to Miami a year ago and when I discovered the great options that the library offers to the users I was gagging. You can borrow 30 books at the same if you want and take them home with you! They have a big selection of books, documents, newspapers, magazines and more, in several languages, as Miami is. You can access to the technology sources with laptops, computers, iPads and projectors if you need them. The place is quiet, big enough to have your own space and navigates between all the universes of the books that you have on hand with them. You just have to create an account and They will give you access to all you need. And the BEST.....Everything is FREE! 💓

Dave Salmon: This is the main library. It's the biggest library in the Miami-Dade Library System. To get there, take the Metrorail to Government Center. You can also take the 11, 51, 77, S, 120, 207, or 208 bus to Government Center.

Nata H.: Very big library with lots of choice. Very big Spanish department and classic books from international writers. Big department for kids and teens. They even gave lunch (some sandwiches I guess) for free when we were there. Only negative that there are too many homeless people..

Beverley McKenzie: They are very helpful at the Library. Whenever you need to know anything about the computer, the scanner, the printer, how to use the computer etc , they are always very helpful & co- operative. It is a pleasure going to the Library. These people that work there are committed.

Avi Haller: Kendall Library. The place is clean and wonderful, but a lot of noise, people speak by cell phones inside the library, Some employees speak in high voice all the time and disturbing the quiet environment. It will be wonderful if somebody show the employees the good manners to be in a library.

Dave Salmon: This library is located inside Civic Center Metrorail station. It's a kiosk. There are no computers inside to use. You can take the 12 bus to get there to NW 16 St if you want to go by bus. Nearby is Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Ricky Montalvan: Hidden gem ! Friendly staff, clean and organized. Pick up a book / cd / or museum ticket :)

Allapattah Branch Library: what do users think?

Yolanda Mendieta: Totally new and fresh. Kids can enjoy books, computers, and you can have a quite and relax time with your books. I love library because is a place where can dream.

Kelly Goodwin: Cute little library! Small but clean and great customer service.

Dave Salmon: I went there on June 29, 2020. You can take the 36 bus to NW 18 Ave and walk one block south on NW 18 Ave to NW 35 St.

Jennifer Julie: I have been going to this library since I was a child in elementary back in 2010, It is now 2021 and I am now finding myself still coming here and bringing my younger siblings along! This is my favorite place to study, the atmosphere is soothing, calm and welcoming!

Brigitte G: The lady at the front desk was very pleasant & helpful. She deserves a raise.

JayDee Mullins: Very friendly staff, clean and helpful. Spacious and covid guidelines in effect. Will definately return

nadia mclaughling: It's the best Library for years and it very convenient. It's also close to my house.

Rafael David González Castellanos: It's quick and easy to get on a computer. It's also rarely crowded, so you can perform your library-related activities in relative peace.

Edison Center Branch Library: what do users think?

Dave Salmon: I went there on July 15, 2020. To get there, take the 77 bus to NW 62 St. You can also take the 46 or 62 bus to Transit Village bus terminal, which is between NW 60 St and NW 62 St.

Brandyn Hernandez: Should get 5 starts but it's the little space made for youth not really made for adults.

The Nature Way: This library is not what it use to be. The staff here is very disrespectful, inconsiderate, and loud. They think that what their doing is okay but it's not and they have this "whatever" attitude like it don't matter. The only thing valuable about this library is that it has good books. This crew is setting a bad example on how a library suppose to operate

Frannie Dee: Terrible parking. You must park around the back and then walk all the way back around to the front of the building. it's the northeast corner of the entrance ramp to I-95. They probably only get walk-ins, or poor people getting off the 62nd St bus. Otherwise, the staff was nice. Small location, not like expansive Aventura or Arcola Lakes.

Nise Bowleg: Nice & Clean and the staff is very helpful

Carlos Calle: Can't blame it all on one bad apple at this library. I met a gentleman that works at library. He was very professional and went beyond his duties to help me print an application. The system was down the day before and when I called he remembered and told me to stop by and that he had application ready. Great Service. Thank for helping a Veteran..

Zarifa M. El: Great, love it, thank you, for the free copies and great books.

Maruschka G: Great little library. Friendly staff. This isn't the best place to study without head phones. The books are new , the environment is clean. 1000% recommended. :D

Jah Will: Too noisy at times they should have a place where people can use their cell phone and not disturb the other patrons

Louidor W. louis: The library is very good and very clean nice, well organized' sometimes quiet if loud children don't come in talking they always and always help but they need colored inked to print

West Flagler Branch Library: what do users think?

Ivan Frank: This was one of the last libraries to be renovated before the pandemic and it shows. Beautiful clean lines, a lot of natural light, and safe restrooms for all to use. Staff is bilingual and they feature a large selection of books in Spanish. Tons of computers for public use, parking spots outside that allow you to use the wifi. What's not to love!? Go "check out" your local library today

Y.: This is the 'little library that could' in all aspects. They make its limited sauce footage for so we all feel included and can identify with their diverse, cultural and creativity programs. I look forward to seeing flourish further under the expert and compassionate care of its current staff members. ESpecially manager Brent Capley and right-hand staffer Erika ! But all others in teams are equal gems. Grateful for all they do for our local community.

Carlos Nethersole: A big and noisy staff in a small facility. They should close their office door so we dont see thru and we dont hear whatever they say. Again they should reduce the staff. Too many ppl. Reduce the noise, increase the productivity. Lets go brandon. This is a library. Sshhhh

manos de esperanza: Is a good place to studio. They change the tables and put plus for electricity , before its diddn't have it and it was difficultvto connect

Dave Salmon: I went there on September 17, 2020.Nice location. To get there, take the 11 bus to 50 Ave.

Harold Del Risco: Great place to use the internet! This branch is a big help for my internet needs. The staff is very helpful and understanding. Very pleasant environment. Love this Library!

Jazmin Lazo: It is smaller in comparison to the other libraries, however, staff is very helpful and maintain a clean environment. I would recommend it to anyone. I only have gone to use the WiFi to study and it doesn't seem to have that much of a broad selection of books but it is a great library in general.

Mike Vietz: Funny how the staff all seem to step out of the office from deep sleep. A stank attitude by the dark hair medium length veteran librarian looking lady. I don’t understand why the cleaning lady which do not do much all day- she also lounges/sleep in the office- has a shift from opening to 10pm. Shouldn’t 4hr overnight suffice, and light cleaning if necessary during the day by the rest? What a waste of taxpayer money...

Mike Vietz: Why a staff of 6 people for such a small location? Are tax payers footing the bill for this??? Otherwise, great location, very quiet. Not many patrons during the couple of days I spent here. The 2 guys and short lady with red tshirt seem bored and pay a bit too much attention to people trying to get stuff done. At least in my case. Maybe the wandering eye from female patrons makes them jealous.

Wendy James: Windows 10 and clean new Computers.Intelligent and Knowledgeable Librarians; Contributing and Participating in your Community Development is important.

Fairlawn Branch Library: what do users think?

Roberto Vizcon: Very nice library branch. Pleasant surroundings. Helpful staff. Plenty of computers on site. Nice unisex bathrooms. Plenty of parking.

A R: Excellent service, employees very helpfull and nice. Good experience.

Dave Salmon: I went there on July 16, 2020. To get there, take the 8 bus to SW 64 Ave. This is the only library located in West Miami.

Arturo F: Internet speed was awful while using WI-FI, less than 5MBPS, I had difficulty measuring its speed. I could not even ping at times. Staff is great, but wew, I had to go to a Starbucks to use WI-FI.

Javier yanez: The women's who works there are sexist, and are very paranoid.bad treatment from them, and they profile people too.I have was discriminate from women's who work there.they said I wasn't allow to look around or stretch my body from set too long.they don't like men like me.because sexist feminist women like them think all men are dangerous with bad intentions.they false accuse me for bad things, and made up story against me.the people who work there are not good people, they are fake people, one of the worker there stalk and profile people from a room that has windows, with door along side, from camera.they harasse pick who they don't like.i only went there to read book peacefully, and to see good book.and feminist accuse me for being peaceful and call law enforcement on me.they want to destroy or kill my life.im civil person,I don't act bad behavior,or lose my cool or anything.the women's profile me from libary there committed crime against me,and hate crime on men and lie about me.they deserve to be In jail for that.but of course there's no justice in United states corrupt corporation company.i tell you don't go that libary, this can happen to you,Warning you, they will profile you,it's a bad negative energy in that libary.they think they are above anyone, make up rules.the constitution is supreme law.

Jany Lopez: Best library in town ☺️

Ligia Rivera: Worst library to study... the librarians are loud..they don't care..and when you ask them to low their voice ...they get mad at you!!! :(If you need silence to study...I don't recommended this branch...

Maria Rodriguez-Larrain: They are very welcoming! And the have opened their doors for our book club meetings.

Vanessa Bl: love this library and the staff that work there are very helpful :)

Peter Dominguez: Great to study compared to Starbucks and Barnes & Noble

Culmer Overtown Branch Library: what do users think?

Jay Elwood: This particular library is located within the facility known as Gibson Park. It is a relatively small library, though it is large in stature due to the relatively small number of people that visit. You have easy and fast access to all resources due to the small number of patrons. The staff is attentive, the computers are usually available, and the library is unusually quiet. This library is comprised of an adult and children's section. What this library may lack in actual materials, it makes up for in availability of resources. JE

Christi Vinson: Dear Mr. Derek Blassinggame As an African American 1st and foremost you and I both know that's overtown do you need a bulletproof to the library no I doubt it that is a bit far fetched now to move the library from there would be depriving underprivileged children of something that other kids have within their community. Now instead of shaming and calling a library a dump shame on you . In all of Miami how did you end up in a library overtown. Nonetheless let's up lift our children try that.

Derrick Blassingame: What a dump! This location is in a historic Black neighborhood. It's located in a shabby, run down playground/sports arena. The staff are nice nasty and semi knowledgeable about basic technology. The security is a complete puffed up joke [ALLIED UNIVERSAL] and the kids are outright disrespectful to adults. Black folk should demand more from their government and ask for a new building, upgrades and a possible relocation of the branch to attract more patrons. I'd definitely return but with a bullet proof vest and a body camera.

Coraima Mesa: This is supposedly a library, but when you walk in it sounds like a playground. There are kids yelling at each other playing games and running around to play. If you try to talk to Candice (who says she's the manager and overseer of 2 branches) she says they are kids and they are allowed to do what they want. If we do not teach children the rules of a library (especially in this area) how are they supposed to learn to follow rules, be respectful, or be courteous to other people. ** The male manager of this branch is amazing, but still it's hard for 1 person to control a room full of yelling kids when he's the only one who tries to enforce it. (He is the only reason I didn't give a 1 star)

RS Wright: No windows, bars and barbed wire. Incredibly limited and small book selection, very limited resources. Computers for public use are all clustered together in one tiny area, not separate like all other libraries. There are no work stations for those that bring their own laptops like other libraries. The patrons leave a lot to be desired - loud cell phone conversations chalked full of "colorful" language, using the shared computers in a study area to watch movies or YouTube loudly without headphones or loud inappropriate conversations with each other. Was once "entertained" by a couple making loud slurpy kissing noises as they made out in the library. Pretty good example of social disparities and inequality to visit this library and then others in close proximity. This place is just depressing.

victor hall: This library is a great place to go and I enjoy spending time here. It is clean, quite, and extremely large. I can find nearly every book I search for, and the staff is very nice and knowledgeable. My only problem is the parking.

Rachel Jenkins: I always have great experiences with this library. Although it's a smaller library, I normally order what I need from the main one and pick it up here. The staff is great and goes above and beyond to assist you. I hope it remains in the Overtown community.

Kathleen Quinn: Small but close to 🏠 home. Good selection of books and an adaquite amount of computers

Dave Salmon: If you are in the Overtown area, check out this library. Right outside the library is Gibson Park.

Barbara Greger: Great place as a library

Dave Salmon: I went there on September 3, 2020 and on December 17, 2021. The place is small and only have four computers. To get there, take the M or 150 bus to 2 St. You can also take the S or 120 bus to 5 St and Alton Rd. You can then walk south on Alton Rd to 1 St.

Josef Domagala: The staff were awesome at the location, as well as on the phone. Helped me print my tax forms. Two thumbs up.

Siarhei Losik: Laziness, that's what I see! 4 computers out of 16 working! They said because of safe distance. BS!!! If they will activate 4 more computers, distance would be 10ft! But they gonna be happy work in empty library! Shame, I can't post photo!

Diadra Smith: Helpful staff. I was new to the area and a staff member walked me through getting my library card.It was quiet and peaceful.

Stephanie Miranda: Nice library with a good selection of DVDs and plenty of computers available. The only problem they have is that many homeless people go there and they smell terrible. Homeless people who smell like urine and are very dirty should not be allowed inside the library.

slayin thots: I was in the library yesterday and i had a rude security guard come breathing down my neck he told me i couldn't be on the phone [very important work meeting btw] so i simply hung up and decided to leave early. this old homeless lady came harassing me as soon as i walked out. Caught everything on video too. i called staff and they basically hung up the phone. Worst library i have ever been to. I'm going to give it a second chance but next time im just calling the police if i could give this zero stars i would.

Paul Janas: The computers work but they removed the comfortable areas to sit because some bums peed on the furniture, so instead of removing the bums, they removed the comfortable furniture and replaced it with hard wooden chairs

David Canela: It’s a small library, very quiet. It has a lot of movies, and reference books and encyclopedias. The WiFi does work.

C: Great little library...a little too cold, so bring a jacket. It's a nice quiet place to enjoy in Sofi 🙂.

Ken Nosse: Easy quick. No contact grabbed books I wanted and did self check out.

Shenandoah Branch Library: what do users think?

Roberto Vizcon: Very nice branch. Very airy. Helpful staff. Nice row of computers. It gets very noisy when the middle school across the street is over at around 3 PM school days.

Dave Salmon: I went there on September 1, 2020.This library is located next to Shenandoah Park. To get to the library, take the 22 bus to SW 19 St and then head east one block to SW 21 Ave. The library is on the corner.

Linda Cristina: Staff was welcoming to me as an out of town educator trying to get work done while caring for a family member.

Victor Gonzalez: My favorite Dade Library. This place seems to emerge from the ground. Ceiling to floor windows give this library the sensation you are sitting in a garden but with A/C! Friendly staff, concentrated patrons ,and nice children section are some of assets. This neighborhood place is welcoming, warm, and cozy. An oasis that is worth visiting. Victor J Gonzalez

José Alberto González Cáceres: It is a small library but with a very good atmosphere of tranquility.

Lyani Inigo: I've been coming here since I was a kid. Very clean, and organized. It is a moderate size library, enough space to study and place my laptop. Staff is great! With kids activities.

Hernando Contreras: I arrived 10 minutes before closing time and I was cheerfully greeted. My library Card had been stolen and a new one was issued promptly at no cost! I asked for help to find a section which they identified for me but regretted that the library was closing. I advised them that I knew it was closing in 5 minutes and quickly picked 4 books. All in all, it was a delightful experience especially when other businesses might have said “Sorry! We’re closing!!”

Sonia Morais: We love this library. The staff is friendly and helpful and my daughter loves story time with Ms. Patti. She is wonderful with the kids, we feel right at home.

Victor J Gonzalez: This library seems to emerge from the ground. The floor to ceiling glass windows creates a garden vibe making i it inviting and luminous. The front yard with its chimes and coral rocks has a magical atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Eva Levy: First time here, small library but the children's section is great! they have a couple puzzles, coloring, books, videos for kids. Liked it nice and clean.

Arcola Lakes Branch Library: what do users think?

Patrice Steele: Rude worker at this branch. August 16, 2021. I returned material to the library. And was treated very rudely by your front desk employee. Because I ask didn't ask For a receipt before I scanned the items to be returned. Well how was I supposed to know? I like to point out in the past it never mattered either before or after whenever I asked for a printed receipt. The manger of this branch handle the situation. But at the moment I m' done with the public library I didn't have to be treated like this.

Elizabeth Myguguleboo 0.o: Sometimes there are many homeless people laying around the entire front of this library. Makes for safety and health issues. Other than this it is an OK library.

Dave Salmon: I went there on June 30, 2020. To get there, take the 77 bus to NW 82 St.

Tia Seeall: Small library, very few computers. But I am able to take a small tablet home for 30 days which is nice. As of right now printing is free! I printed 18 pages free of charge. I don't know for how long though so before you visit call to ask. Must have a miami dade county public library card or sign up for a free one with the necessary documents; the card is needed to use the printers, computers, scanners, check out books and materials etc.

garcia beckford: The person at Customer care was very Nice 👍

Larncy Rolle: Exceptional except for 1 time one of the new staff was not customer oriented. All other visits has been very courteous and professional. I also am excited about the new application where you can go on line and from your e-mail you can send documents to the printer and just go into the branch and print the documents that was sent via e-mail. Great job, way to go Miami Dade Library staff. Things are improving and it shows.

Frannie Dee: Very courteous staff, even the security guard who shushed me when I was talking too loud, just like when we were taught to behave in school. They make sure masks are kept up.

Greg McClendon: I noticed how well one of the Branch employees handled herself when dealing with a patron who did not know what a password, ID, nor email address was and wanted to sign up to work at a polling booth. Kudos to that young woman!

Lawrence Tyler: Very helpful staff. Clean environment, and I highly recommend this library.

Betty Blu: I am so eternally greatful to the Miami Dade Public Library system for all the support they provided us during the summer break. My son is afflicted with Autism. He is nonverbal and is about 4 years behind his other 8 year old peers. The staff at this library always had welcoming smiles. Never made us feel "different" and allowed for my son to continue his academic development during he summer. As a single mother of a special needs child, my budget is always tight. Thank God for the library's child lunch program. It was a blessing. May we always continue the public library system.

Rick S: These people keep losing books my schoolteacher wife turns in to them and they charge her for the privilege. It's happened like 4 times. She's too meek and avoidant of confrontation to say anything. I don't know if they get a bonus or what for doing this but it has to stop.

Oliver Solorzano: Staff is helpful, book selection is strong for kids and biographies, religion, great throwback movie selection. Cozy and comfy for reading on site. Not a vast and enormous selection but WHO can expect such of a site as this??

w robbins: I like it even though it is small. The staff is very helpful whenever I need to scan, fax, copy or print. I use the Internet and sit comfortably at one of their tables or chairs for hours. Even though the collection of books is small you can always order what you want from another branch. I think it's a perfect little resourceful.

Olgie: I love the Sunset Branch Library. It is small and quaint and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The selection is small however it can always be picked up at this location. Customer service is great and they are always willing to assist. I like the small and cozy ambiance of this location.

JULIO A Pascual: I was working for half an hour in this place and I had to leave because the staff does not show respect for the people working there. Only four clients and four staff members and they did not stop talking extremely loud (staff) about things that no one cares about. As to not come again to this horrible place.

Gensy Maray Figueredo Figueredo: Horrible: The place looks like a cafeteria, people arrive and talk extremely loud, talk to the staff as if it were not a library and the staff does the same. It is a total lack of respect for people who try to study.

Michel Farrera: Horrible, too small, the kids area is only a blue carpet. It supposed to be a toddlers storie time but nobody came, now I know why.

Susie Demesmin: Too small. The phone kept ringing not a good place to study

Yesenia: This is a noisy library with no respect for the people that go there triyng to get a quiet place to study

Joan Fabian Fernandez de la Vega Leon: Definitively not a good place to study, to noisy

Little River Branch Library: what do users think?

Stretch Lane: Usually very quiet most of the time. Everyone and then there may be a person with the foolishness. But overall very very nice and helpful staff. Go here everyday after work to study and trade.

Dave Salmon: I went there on August 4, 2020. To get there, take the 9, or 10 bus to NE 79 St. You can also take the L bus to NE 2 Ave.

CNYC: Should have read the reviews about it having no parking. Only street parking available. Parking zone 40806.

Frannie Dee: Terrible because of NO PARKING. No parking. Terrible parking. One handicapped space at the curb in front of the library door. No other parking. Three employee cars parked up in the grass next to the building. If the library system would pave the entire side of the building and make a curb cut so you don't have to jump up a 4" high curb, then you could probably park SIX cars diagonal against the side of the building. Sad, because it's a cute little library with pleasant staff.

Maadd Raasss: Horrible staff. They gossip and talk about everyone that comes in. AC vents are never clean, easy to get sick in there. They antagonize certain guests. Its been said they have cameras in the bathrooms. The overall stay can be very uneasy and uncomfortable most times.

Iseult: I love this Library. It’s fairly quiet and the staff are pleasant. This is where my fondest childhood memories took place.

Louidor W. louis: It is okay the service is okay but there is a light skined haitian who is really rude but the library is wonderful they always help you for what you need help with.

Caleb Wilson: It’s a very small library so I usually request a book and pick it up at Little River. Very quiet usually

PRETTY CHACHA: The staff is very nice and friendly. The place is quiet too.

mary-kate Sullivan: Kindest, most helpful people I have ever met. Truly.

Lemon City Branch Library: what do users think?

Vanessa Andrade: I love the children’s area of this library, lots of selections and they usually have some activities like puzzles or coloring for kids to do. I also like how personable the librarians are. They have recommended books my children would like since we go regularly, little things like that make this our favorite library!

Dave Salmon: I went there on August 3, 2020. I had to leave early because they were doing the polls for the upcoming primaries. To get there, you can take the 62 bus to NE 4 Ave. You can also take the 9 or 10 bus to NE 61 St. Walk east to NE 4 Ave and the library is on the right.

Steven Brier: I live nearby and I've received more than a college education from the library from books, CDs and DVDs The staff is better than helpful - if they don't have books that you want just ask and I will order them from the other libraries, also you may request books they don't have all and they will order them most of the time Lemon is the oldest library in South Florida at over 125 years. It is called the "cradle" of Dade's culture

Cesar Pichardo: Extremely loud. People are just talking and shouting having full conversations while people are trying to read, use the computers or study. The employees did not do anything to keep silence some even joined the conversation. Very disappointing.

Frannie Dee: Outstanding. Such polite staff. Assisted me with logging in, how to print, and there's a cozy vibe to the place. They even have a sound room for "recording artists". Bathrooms are clean. I think one is even marked gender neutral (like the old handicapped or diaper changes were).

Sandra Tagle: I need a peaceful place to work and study without distractions near home. And I found it. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Iseult: What an historic library and the staff there are top notch. I enjoy going there everyday. It’s quiet and clean. Lovely place

Maruschka G: Librarians are nice. You can study here but try to make it before school gets out. A lot of kids come here. But overall I love this library.

Willie Pinchinat: Great atmosphere for kids and adults. Very helpful staffers, only down side to this location its closed on Sundays. Making it harder for my daughter to complete school assignments on the weekend.

sam mahon: A nice Library, the Lady's who work there are friendly, it Historical the place has teenagers studying hard. Window 10 Computers and the daily issue of the Miami Herald.

City of North Miami Public Library: what do users think?

Dave Salmon: I went there on November 4, 2020. This is a North Miami library. It is not part of the Miami-Dade Public Library System so you can't use your Miami-Dade library card. You have to live in North Miami to get a library card. To use the computers, you must ask them first and they will help you. To get there, take the 19 bus to NE 133 St. The library is on the right. You can also take the 9 bus if you're coming from Downtown Miami and then get off at NE 131 St. Walk east on NE 131 St to W Dixie Hwy and then make a left. The library is on the left.

Lulu G: If you want a quiet place to study this isn’t the place. I’m studying for my broads test and it does matter what day or time I come there’s always noise. It doesn’t matter what part of the library you sit someone is always making noise.

Gwen Kunkel: This was my first time here. We recently moved to the area so I needed to get a new library card. The librarian was so kind and helpful. He explained to me the difference between the county and municipal libraries and helped me check out 4 books. They didn’t have the series that my fiancé is reading, so he ordered them all and is going to reach out when they come in! I highly recommend going here if you live in the area. All of the staff were professional and friendly. They do have limited hours currently because of Covid: 11-5 M-F.
Response: Gwen, once again welcome to North Miami. It was a pleasure creating your library card. We can’t wait to see you on your next visit!

mary-kate Sullivan: Although new to this library, from the moment I walked in I felt welcomed and surrounded by all good things a library offers. And it is directly across from North Miami High school! What an opportunity for those students (and teachers)!Happy reading and researching, online or off.MK Sullivan

Dark Lord Davi: Literally the worst library I have ever been to in my entire life. There’s a school across the street and once class ends kids/teens come and cause absolute CHAOS!!!!! It is almost impossible for me to study, read, or even pay attention due to the amount of noise. Security does absolutely nothing about the HORRIBLE behavior of the student that don’t even use the libraries resources!!!! Only come during weekends/summer break/ or when school is in session that is the ONLY time when this Library is stable.

Nakira Khadafi: I give this library 3 stars because they are well stocked on books and it's a nice and clean environment. But my 3 star rating is solely because the place does become extremely noisy and over run with children and the staff just doesn't seem equipt to handle the amount of children and the unruliness of the teens from the school across the street .. Better to use this library while school is in or on weekends.

SincerelyShey: Okay I know these ratings are straight lies. Realistically speaking this library is very very very loud due to the amount of teenagers soliciting there. Yes they are soliciting because they are not in the library for its resources. They just sit around and talking, yelling, running, cussing, horseplaying everywhere. I’m at this library at least 3 times a week and the kids are always there making noise. Security does nothing and staff does nothing. Kick them out PLEASE. On top of that, security says NOTHING to these kids that are shouting cuss words and making this a very uncomfortable environment but you better believe he will correct everyone one sitting awkwardly in a chair. Like this dude waves at the kids as they’re terrorizing the library. What kind of library is this? Shut it down.

Cher Pie: The staff is very nice and is ready to help with whatever the questions one may have. The library itself is clean, plenty of books to choose from. The only thing is, it can get loud at some point when I’m trying to study and get some work done. I want somewhere that I can study with peace and quiet, that would be really... after all, it is a library. 🤦🏾‍♀️🙄

Frannie Dee: Nov.2020 Covid-19 hours are still Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. wonderful staff. Very helpful. Automatic temperature check upon entry and hand sanitizer right up front. 30 computers available but only 15 in use for social distancing.

Naya J: This library is absolutely horrible. The librarians are extremely kind and nice. however they often kick people out of the library for doing absolutely nothing which makes it near impossible to actually enjoy the services of the library that is supposed to be for the public. Adults will be fine at this library. As for teenagers, don't bring them there since they might get kicked for doing absolutely nothing.

Westchester Regional Library: what do users think?

D R: Quiet, clean, available seating/ parking, wide selection of books for adults/kids.

Govinda Ghimire: Amazing place for kids and parents as well. Tons of books and activities. I can’t thank enough to the staffs.

Dave Salmon: The first time I went there was on September 16, 2020. I went there again on April 18, 2022 two years later. To get there, take the 8 or 24 bus to either the SW 97 Ave stop or the SW 93 Ct stop.

DinoTheArtworks: I am a big fan of MDPLS ever since I’ve been attending their online events back in December of last year. I decided to explore the libraries and this was one of them to explore. First of all, it is very big on the outside and inside. There is a first and second floor and as soon as you entered, the desk was to your left. The first floor was with study rooms and a large variety of books. Also, a vending machine. Everything was pretty quiet most of the time. The second floor was the same thing except there is a kids playing area and no vending machines. I went here a while ago so my review on how the library looks may be not accurate. The staff was nice and checked out my books without any problems. I said bye and went out the door happy. Recommend if you’re near the area and is either a bookworm or big fan of MDPLS like me.

Helen L: There were study tables available. There wasn't that much noise and the place is spotless. Great printers and wonderfully helpful staff.

gessicaj88: Was not allowed in children's area because I didn't have a child present with me. ?? Not welcoming atmosphere at all

LM: It is always wonderful to go there, the smell of books, the cleanliness, the organization. Now after the coronavirus you have to keep your distance and wear a mask all the time. The ground floor is literature for adults and the second floor for children. When the schools run the groups it is a bit uncomfortable to concentrate with the children. There is a vending machine with soft drinks and water and snacks. Membership is wonderful, free, you register and they give you your card to take the books free for 30 days. It is always pleasant to go there.

Marian Hernandez: As far as I know, libraries were for reading and everything related to reading, but all in silence, not for the tutors to teach kids and spend the day talking loudly. I think its disrespectful the amount of tutors who come here to teach the kids and they interrupt people who need to study or read in silence. If we don't have silence in a library, where will we have it? Tutors need to go elsewhere!

H O: The building is awesome. Variety of content. Old and clean. including the bathrooms upstairs. My only complaint is they need to have a responsible for kids area. Beacuse adult visitor bring kids and let them act like in a park. jumping, screaming, running. If they made people respect each other inside kids area. Can be perfect place to study.

Ingrid Pujol: This is a pretty large library in a convenient location and the facilities are always relatively clean and there is a ton of space to get work done. There are power outlets everywhere so finding a place to hunker down for the day isn't difficult. The hours are also great. However, I can't give this place 5 stars because, for some reason, the people who frequent this library have never seen a movie or tv show with the strict librarian who is always shushing the patrons. If you plan to study or get work done, be prepared to listen to people's skype conversations, and just a lot of talking and socializing in general. Out of consideration for people who use the library for what it's meant to be used for, I wish they had the staff reminding people not to talk in the designated quiet areas. I use noise cancelling headphones and can still hear chatter over them.

Kendale Lakes Branch Library: what do users think?

Daniel Vasquez: COVID 19 test site outside library, worth long line after setting up appointment through SQ code at beginning of line, thankful for the assistance by everyone involved, medical staff, law enforcement.

Angelica Lopez: Very loud can't concentrate, kid's screaming parent's talking even the staff are loud seriously horrible place. Libraries are supposed to be a quiet place.

Markie M.: Quiet place with a butterfly garden in front, and a park nearby. It’s very nice.

Amparo Morais: Clean library with several computers and tons of books available! All of their Staff is very friendly! I highly recommend the museum passes as you can visit several Miami attractions for free and even take 3 additional guests. I love how I can reserve books and pick up when ready at the library at no additional cost. You can even request a book they don't currently have in their system and they might order it for you!

Ellen Sanders: A quiet, tranquil environment in which to read, check out books, or complete schoolwork! It was fantastic.

Alta Greene: There are several areas to sit and read, as well as free Wi-Fi.

Fidel Hernandez: As an out of towner, I have been made to feel very welcome, all the time. It is a quiet , clean place whuch allows you to get things done (office wise) without paying for it.

Marta Garcia: Very clean, nice peaceful. Very helpful and professional

Roc Chang: No good computer running, that‘s so slowly system

jessica hernandez: this is probably my favorite library in miami dade county. the building is beautiful. it's very spacious inside and has lots of computers to work on and books to choose from. the self checkout is convenient and probably my favorite part. the employees are really nice, and the library is relatively quiet. i don't know why people expect it to be completely silent all the time when there are children there who are being tutored, but whatevs. overall, 10/10.

Virrick Park Branch Library: what do users think?

Dave Salmon: I went there on September 10, 2020. The library is located in Elizabeth Virrick Park. To get there, take the Metrorail to Douglas Rd. You then walk south on Douglas Rd one block to Day Ave. You make a left on Day Ave going east for two blocks until you get to Hibiscus St. Make a right and the library is on the right. This area is Coconut Grove.

Eugenio Gallardo: I was used to the Coral Gables library located in Segovia Street, so I came to this library because of the good reviews. I would say that the only good thing is that you always find desks available (and it i inside a park), that is all. It is very small and everybody speak loudly like they are in the restaurant, starting with the staff. Clearly the staff are not librarians with no experience in a library, so they are not used to the proper environment a library should have, they speak very loud so everybody speak and laugh very loud. If you want a place to meet with your friends where you can talk and laugh as loud as you want, without any concern about the people around you, this is the place. If you want a real library with the proper environment for study, this is not the place. Maybe that's the reason that when I go there there are always few people?

ok prabhu: The library is small clean and generally empty. The problem is people including staff talk very loud and disturb the other people studying and working.

Anthony Cunningham: I love peacock park library in the Grove village business district a lot better than I do the vir virrick Park Branch, due the fact that although there a library unlike the college or private sector branches they they treat you like family and with dignity & everybody knows My name, they keep in mind that they are a community, public library and that our opinion matters no matter if your poor or not privilege.wher not just a number!! .. I think it's due to Mrs Crystal the director, years of working with her branch in the Grove community, first with her father as a kid than on her own after completing college.thair interactive with The park & sailing club, youth & kids program is good community networking, for all our precious resources with diversity, culture and background.evan thought her Branch is not in a larger range of Residential area as virrick Park Branch, her staff & their educational program, has a lot more potential for success, than some of the branches I've patrolled & observed.

Moraly Arroyo: Great little library with caring and helpful librarians and staff! They help engage kids in constructive and fun learning activities. Space is modern, bright and welcoming. It can be improved by expanding to create a more substantial space for teens.

Pia Clemens: Very nice

Richard J. Montenegro: I LOVED ❤️❤️❤️
