Christopher Chau: Honest and hardworking lawyers!!! I am new to South FL and I had a real estate dispute that was time sensitive and not in my favor. I had google and called over 20 “professional firms”, waited patiently two months, with no response or call-back. I had researched some more and found Marrero, Chamizo, Marcer Law. MCM Law picked up my call right away and gave me the game plan along with the possibilities of the outcomes. The whole team and process was smooth, efficient and transparent: From the consultant asking about my case and sending out my litigation form to fill out instantly. They assigned my case to my lawyer, David Valero, and within a few minutes he introduced himself. Each time David reached out to me, he was informative, detailed and was in excellent communications throughout the entire process. Speaking with him, you can tell he is an expert, highly motivated and top notch to work with. End result, he handled the situation professionally and resolved the case that was in favored for me! I highly recommend David Valero and his team! Thank you again so much!

Isabel Vizcon: When my mother passed away, her surviving spouse was given a "life estate", giving him the right to live in the property that my mother had intended for her daughters. My mother's "linear descendants" (myself and my sister) would then inherit the property outright upon her spouse's passing. I made the mistake of contacting this law firm because I wanted to make sure that nothing illegal had been done by my mother's spouse that could jeopardize the title to the property. I was charged $250.00. When I was finally able to find a buyer for the home, two days prior to closing, the title company handling the transaction contacted me to inform me of two encumbrances/liens on the title - something that I was not informed of by this law firm. I've attempted to contact Julio Marrero because I believe that I should be refunded my money, but to no avail. I guess the law firm is really in need of the $250. Lesson: BEWARE This is in reply to the law firm's inept reply to my post. Surprisingly enough, it only took about 30 minutes for them to reply to this while my several outreach efforts to the law firm have been ignored. I have written proof of the service that I requested. And for this firm to say that I hired them to remove the life estate, is their poor effort at mixing and mincing words (since I did in fact pay an extra $25.00 to record the death certificate to have the NAME removed from the property appraiser's site). In essence, then, the law firm has admitted to charging $250 for something that is common legal knowledge that had no need to be investigated. I am truly embarrassed for them. Shameful. Again, BEWARE. They are obviously in need of the $250. And to whomever wrote the poorly written reply: - take note: For you to say that I hired the law firm to remove the life estate simply shows what little knowledge you have of the law, since the life estate ends with the passing of the person. Keep talking so that all prospective clients can see the type of law firm that Marrero, Chamizo, Marcer Law, LP is.

Before getting to attorney, Carlos, I believe the name, their paralegal advised that prior to speaking to attorney they will charge $3,500 Security Deposit & draw out of it $400/hr rate, a criminal attorney rate for simple civil landlord tenant case. With such approach the $3,500 will run out fast and they will send a bill for more. This office has money and not Clients best interests. I was shocked & ended call.

Keith Simpson: Quite simply, Bruce Jacobs, Court Keeley and their team saved our home in the face of enormous odds. We retained our first attorney in 2011 to negotiate a mortgage modification for us. They failed to negotiate a mortgage modification after months of back and forth with the bank. The bank sued and took us to court. The attorney then failed at trial which resulted in our home being foreclosed on by the bank. What we didn't know at the time was that our first attorney was not a litigator and would never have been prepared for a court battle. In December 2013, the bank took over the title to our home and commenced the eviction process. We were faced with losing the home we had lived in for 18 years, including a substantial amount of equity earmarked for our retirement. Bruce took our case in early 2014. He kept us in our home during the court battles with the bank and eventually presented sufficient evidence to the court which resulted in the court vacating the foreclosure and returning title to our home to us in September 2016. That's the very short version of an extremely complicated, exhaustive and expensive five year battle with a very large New York bank. The toll it has taken on my wife and I is indescribable. Jo Z: Great to read about sanction money and city of Miami and all that and as a citizen in my hometown I appreciate it very much But Selfishly, I do wish my own experience had been even slightly more professional, characterized by respect and human decency. Shame on Jacobs Legal. I wish I could give something less than one star. And to the reviewer complaining about $100 consult, consider yourself lucky. At possibly my most desperate moment in 65 years of life in fear of losing my home of 30 years, and a week before having to go to court, I borrowed all $360 for the consult fee. Then I lost income from my part-time hourly job waiting for Mr Jacobs (allegedly stuck in court) close to 2 hours. Initially I felt good as I very much respect his zeal and success and he interacts as a consolable, lovable bear of a man who gives comforting hugs. Ultimately, however, despite providing my case information in advance, and in interest of making efficient use of his time, also gave bulleted points I wished to discuss, we spent less than an hour together. My points mostly were not addressed as he talked about my good energy in the universe and the power of chai (18, and multiples as in $360 & 36k) and quickly recommended I offer $36k (that I don’t have) to an interested party. Jacobs said I could thank them by putting more good energy in to universe by working for good political candidates or writing a good review just before introducing me to associate Amida Frey saying Frey would do everything possible to help me. Seems noting was possible. I am writing an honest review. Returning to my computer I sent thank you email and provided name of friend who might give $36k if she understands proposal. No answer. Late next day got email stating they just need a number by email, don’t need to talk to her. I responded that was not reasonable to expect her money and she would not waste his time, to please call. Next day I wrote and asked again to contact her. Also added some questions I failed to ask in person. Simple for them i think...like how long I might have in home if I lose my case. Response from the firm: Was told my hearing was on a motion to continue. It was NOT. I sent mail to that effect and asked if I should assume they were not going to call my friend and were not going to answer my questions. No response. Two days ago I stopped by their office when I was downtown doing some legwork in my pro se case the day before my real (not motion for continuance) substantive hearing to determine if I lose home or not. Explained to receptionist my concerns about being ignored. Was told Bruce was home with flu but Ami would contact me by close of business. Guess what? Have not heard a thing. The single substantive exchange with the firm that had access to all my case information resulted in a factually inaccurate response. Incompetence at best. Apparently chai doesn’t work too well for me. I got less than nothing for my friend’s $360.00.

However, they are really good about working on your behalf while you pay them the minimum balance. The process was essentially fast and my legal assistant Dulce was very attentive. However, if you are looking for a hands-on lawyer, your not going to find it here. They have so MANY clients that you can't just expect to get a fast answer right away as you would with a smaller firm. As for Patrick, I only met him once in the beginning so I have mixed feelings. His awards are plastered everywhere but like I said, for bankruptcy you deal a bunch of other lawyers, assistants, and paralegals. I wished those people were displayed more in the office since they do a lot of the actual work.

Rae F: This firm is so unprofessional! It took an entire month and a half to get an appointment only for them to not confirm, then cancel it themselves, lie and said I called to have it canceled. The rep ended up transferring me to someone who then says the appointment was canceled because we don't handle the case type. I never received a call, email or text notification. Glad I called today before spending two hours driving to your office for a canceled slot only to be turned around. Now that's a month and a half wasted, when from the beginning your company knew you didn't handle property or small claims.

Brian Prieto has less than two year admitted at the bar. No experience at all. They don’t know what they are doing. These people Created and filed incorrectly the motion, so I can keep paying them to fix their own mistakes. I had to hire another lawyer in less than a month, so he can fix all these issues. And after I fired this attorney, they keep charging me for administrative job. They waisted the $3,500 just in calls and trashy papers. Don’t go to this place. As you can see in their own notes, it is administrative job no legal job. Plus my son that it’s 11 years old writes better and professional than them. Keep record of the phone calls and meeting that you have with them because this people alter the minutes you speak with them. FOOD TOURS IN MIAMI: I bought a property at a tax deed sale and the previous owner refused to leave the property. After I spoke to an attorney at this law firm, I was advised that what I needed to file was an “unlawer detainer action” and not an eviction because the former owner was not a “tenant.” So I hired these lawyers to file the case. We won the case very quickly and I got my property back.....we changed the locks 24 days after the lawyer filed the case. The lawyer was very experienced, worked very fast, and gave me good legal advice. I recommend this law firm, and specifically Phil Revah, for any issues regarding removing unwanted people from your property.

JP07: Mr. Revah is very knowledgable and explained the situation clearly and remained in contact thoughout the entite process as im in california and could not be there in person. He helped me remove an eviction i had due to me moving out early. The process took less than a month. He’s a very dedicated lawyer and i recomend him to anyone needing an eviction lawyer.

Estephan Iskandarian: This is a good law firm and the lawyer who helped me here was very knowledgeable about florida landlord laws. Got rid of my tenant in 24 days and we got the rent money from the court. Talk to Phil he is the head eviction lawyer. The tenant messed up the apartment but we have to sue separately for that. Call these lawyers if you have an issue with a tenant.

Brianna Reed: the attorney is extremely rude. He doesn't take into consideration that individuals in the community are coming to him for advise and guidance. Which he didn't give me any advise as to how to move forward with my issue. I told him that i would like to retain him to solve my issue and he threatened to sue me! I know right i told him i needed his services in person and in return I'm threatened. Update: To add insult to injury he called me back and said let me explain... I hung up; he called again, i declined the call. He knew he was rude and nasty for no reason, there's nothing to explain nothing to clear up. He is who he is. I hope that if you decide to call or even retain his services that you get the assistance you seek. He wouldn't give me his name when i called requesting help but when he called back to EXPLAIN I believe he said his name was Joe.

Anastasia Bazunova: I had a tenant in Broward county and tenant in Downtown Miami, and I needed to evict the Broward tenant, after they didn’t pay rent for 2 months. I also needed to evict the downtown miami tenant, because their lease expired and they refused to leave. I called this law firm and I spoke with Mr, Revah. Within 24 hours Mr. Revah files both evictions and we were successful in both cases. Mr. Revah’s law firm charge me a very reasonable fee for both cases. If I need to evict my tenants in the future, I would definitely use this law firm again.

Furthermore, your lawyer could have at least remembered what county I was from. I drove 2 hours and 15 mins to get to you guys because you were highly recommended. Some, recommendation. I lost a day of work finding, gas money and $300. Maybe I am wrong, but on top of it all it appeared to me (and my sister who was there) that the lawyer already came in with an attitude of defeat. So, so disappointing! I have been working since the age of 13. I have always had excellent relationships with my immediate employers and if what has happened to me after 24 years of excellent service isn't a case then, I don't know what is. I am just saddened that The Law Office of Alexis Gonzalez, that is supposed to be a 5 star law firm that I felt really didn't even really give me a fighting chance after recalling everything that had transpired. Dr. T.: Hired this firm for a business litigation matter and contract reviews. After just a couple of weeks I had to dissolve the professional relationship as the assigned attorney was not aggressive enough. Contrary to the opinion of other attorneys consulted, he decided (after speaking with opposing counsel) that he couldn't win our case. It was following our decision to discontinue with their firm that they then billed us for not only the entirety of our retainer but a balance also. It's unsubstantiated and unreasonable that our retainer could've been exhausted. Additionally, our assigned attorney apparently hadn't been told they were no longer representing us thus he'dcontinued correspondence with the opposing party until we updated him.
