Jim Sloves: I purchased a fantastic Fender custom Shop strat directly from Miami Guitars. I am on the other side of the country. All my gear transaction these days are purchased over the Internet without visiting the store. It’s the little things that count even more. First, the guitar was packaged with utmost care and protection. Doubled box the hardshell case! Miles and the crew were particularly attentive shipping the strat for a precise delivery window (I was away from home for a few days and there were some massive storms) and answering emails. Any questions I had we’re promptly answered via email usually within 12 hours. Caution: Relic haters, stop here and don’t look at the photo. 😅

Thomas Keating: I was looking for a high quality core PRS guitar with a premium 10 Top. I chose the 35th Anniversary Custom 24 in Tiger Yellow. Could not be happier. Miles was prompt and professional in the communication, and when the guitar arrived it took my breath away. Exactly as described, but twice as beautiful. This is a professional store with quality customer service.

Matt H.: This place does not exist. I drove 30 minutes because I heard good things. The pictures on the website and Google are from an old location. I walked in and it's an abandoned room (see picture). There was one woman saying they no longer do repairs or sell guitars. I don't know what it used to be but now it's a scam or some kind of front. Stay away!

Carl: For 20 years I searched for the one that got away. The one that the tone, the feel, the look was just all me. I lost mine in Pawn in 1989 when I was young and dumb. Never seen another like it in good enough shape or unmolested to pull the trigger on. Until now! I just received my Washburn A-20 in Ohio from Miami vintage Guitars 🎸 and I could not be happier with the communication and service. If I could give 10 stars I would. 👏 Bravo

R C: And I would prefer to support a store like this over a big commercial chain. Very nice instruments I was able to walk in and play whatever I wanted unattended and not hounded by a salesman or anything like that. Tons of great fender and Gibson vintage guitars from the 60s 70s 80s and 90s. I only regret not coming here for my last two purchases because I didn’t realize it was as close to my house as it is.

Alden Kennedy: Bought a 20-year-old Martin 000-15 from these guys and couldn't have had a better experience. One of the shop owners really went the extra mile to make sure my guitar arrived safely abroad (I don't currently live in the US). Nice hardshell case included, a strap, and a box of picks. Guitar was shipped correctly with detuned strings and some bubblewrap to protect the headstock. Great value and service, thanks fellas.

Elias Cruz: This place is like one of the ancient pyramids, it's been around since time began. That being said, my family and friends have been going to this Guitar Center for ages, and to be honest I'd never had a bad experience until recently. The staff is always super nice, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They will sit there and answer all of your questions and they're not afraid to say "I don't know, let me find out". Except for when it comes to picking up an order, then things get complicated. I went recently to pick up an order for a Rode podmic, my wife had paid for it online and i went to pick it up on my lunch break hours later, when I got there, the employee who attended me told me he couldn't give me the mic because the order hadn't processed. I asked if the mic was in store, he said yes. I informed him that it was already paid for, he can just process the order in front of me and hand me the mic with my receipt. He refused, so a manager was able to handle my exact request in less than 2 minutes. Had he just connected the dots and given me the product I had paid for, then everything would have been cool and not a waste of time. Other than that, guitar center is awesome and they always have a great selection of gear at totally reasonable prices.

Cristina Segovia: Matt went above and beyond to help me with my situation. I was given a defective tripod and he went ahead and gave me a brand new one. He gives 5 star service, with a positive and jovial attitude. I will be back for all of my acoustic needs!

Fred Weiss: Ignasio was extremely helpful, had great advice. He showed me less expensive options but I went with the Telecaster I came for. Got it home and I could not be happier with my purchase.

Ray Moral: I will never shop here again. I have been a client of this store for almost 20 years now, and all I can say is that the store’s new management is an abomination. I recently brought in my Stratocaster to be repaired, it needed another tremolo block since the previous one had the tremolo arm snapped off and part of it was still inside. I spoke to Jade, the guitar tech of this establishment whom I had brought in my other instruments to be repaired on. Nothing out of the ordinary. She told me that it would cost $180. I simply said fine and left my guitar there to be taken care of. She called me the very next day and left a voicemail saying that the issue was fixed and was ready for pickup. Since I had been working, I was not able to return her call. I came in today and they charged me almost TWICE the amount. After complaining to the store clerk, he said that the $180 did not cover labor costs as well as restringing, bridge setup, NEW CORPORATE RULES, etc. I was extremely angry and shocked beyond belief! In fact, I brought in my own strings, so she could use them instead of taking a pack off the store shelf. Now I’ve had plenty of bad experiences at this store, but this one takes the cake. I’ve had my run-ins with the new store manager/owner or whatever, and he is the biggest jerk you could ever cross paths with. I believe the store, as well as the company is losing money; however, that’s not my problem. If I were you, I would strongly recommend avoiding Guitar Center like the plague. There are plenty of other shops both online and in-store were you can get a much better deal. But from now on, Guitar Center is a no-go for me.

dreamfan61: On 05/27/2022 I called Guitar Center to speak with the manager that was supposed to call me back, which he never did, due to a refund for a guitar service they could not perform correctly by their tech back on 05/14/2022 . This manager whose name is George Alvarez had an attitude since the moment he picked up the phone almost like I was bothering him and careless to really lose his job. He kept saying he needed me to go in person in order to get the refund back, I live 55 minutes without traffic and I was trying to find an alternative to save the trip to go there again, he said that there was nothing he can do, I asked to maybe speak someone that might be able to accommodate but he kept saying he is the manager and didn't care to provide any other solution, all of this with an attitude. I did ask for his manager and he started to raise his voice, I told him that I was going to reach corporate then, he said that I can do whatever I want and then abruptly hung up on me just like that. Guitar Center should be aware of this kind of behavior displayed by someone who is the face of the company running their store and providing this type of customer service, I don't think nobody should be treated the way I was treated hurting ultimately business. I feel that person should not work in the service industry or retailer anywhere. He was flat out careless, unprofessional and very rude overall. I am so not going there nor am I going to refer any body to do so ever, instead I'll continue to go to the competition where I get to be treated like anybody should be! This is no so far off from what Ray experienced which I find it very similar and yet it seems like it just continues to happen. What a shame.

Nina Dasha Magri Sforza: The staff members were very helpful. They have a sanitization section when you come in which is very comforting in these times. Over all a great experience, we bought a guitar and an ukulele, great cuality and great prices!

DJ Edgar Lardoeyt: I went to pick up my subwoofer and for the second time it was beaten and battered by delivery. For the third time I had to order it. I know that this equipment is heavy and difficult to transport, but you must be careful when transporting it, they are very expensive and it is disconcerting when you go to pick it up to see that your merchandise is damaged ... The attention of the employees is very good , but they have this big problem with orders that come from abroad through delivery

Greg Johnson: Going to do videos and podcasts soon. My mic input wasn't giving good sound. Added an audio interface and hoping it will do ambient noise reduction. Anyway Sennheiser makes good mics but only xlr connectivity, so you need a music store instead of best buy for products. I do recommend

Angelica Casanas: We went window shopping for a drum set. I wanted to gift one to my Husband. That was the easiest way, so I can get the one he liked. Luis helped us. I went back and Luis helped me pay for drum set, and they held it for me until valentine's. They helped me load it into my car, and they told me to look up YouTube video so I can put it together; it was pretty easy. Luis is very knowledgeable, friendly, and has great customer service. Thank you he loved it!

David Massey: My experience was great. I called ahead to make sure they had the three guitars I was choosing between. They did, which was already better than the three other music stores I had tried over the previous couple weeks. I got there 20 minutes before closing, but Ramon remembered me from my call and took me to a part of the store where I could hear the guitars better. They were cool and let me stick around after closing to keep playing the guitars and really get a feel for them, even though they didn't know I was planning on buying one that day. Ramon was knowledgeable, attentive, and didn't try to talk me into the more expensive guitar, which was nice for a change. By the time I left it was about 45 minutes after closing and I had an awesome new guitar. It was a great, old school music store experience. It felt like going to a music store 20 years ago, talking with people who are excited about guitars and care about you getting the right instrument. That was really nice for a change after the depressing experiences I had at the other major name brand guitar store in Miami and Broward over the last few weeks where I had to look around for people to unlock guitars for me to try, the inventory was sparse, and I had practically had to beg them to let me give them money.

Marva Dewar: Sammy was wonderful and patient. He took the time see why it was showing on stock but not there. The item was in stock but someone had 2 of the items reserved so he offered a similar item or to have it ordered online and shipped directly to me and it came fast in 2 days. I was satisfied.

General Spades: Bought my first acoustic guitar from Sam Ash in Dolphin Mall, to pick up a new hobby, the service I received from Marco in the guitar department was absolutely first rate, he knew his stuff and guided me perfectly as a new comer to the music world. Highly recommend the experience and looking forward to returning soon to buy my upgrade from him. 5 stars all the way

Nicholas Anthony: Sam Ash is a great company to buy from, and Enrique was great salesman. Answered my questions over the phone and in person, and remembered to give me a call back on a question I had about a product in store but which wasn't available yet to purchase. Listen, I know that online buying is what everyone likes to do, but if you can purchase your items in person, all the better. Go ahead and purchase from this Sam Ash store!

Fernando Rodriguez: We had a wonderful experience at Sam Ash with Marco Cocciaro. He was knowledgeable and kind. We purchased equipment for my son's new band and he was not only excited for him but for of information that was very useful. Thank you Marco and Sam Ash! He has even followed up with us after the purchase!

Dodge Ram: On Jan 12, went to Sam Ash store in Dolphin mall. My experience was not what I expected. Around 4pm while in the guitar section the employee was sitting behind counter instead of helping the few customers in the store. The only time the employee left the counter was when a guitar fell. The employee was cussing a storm having no regard there are customers and family in the store. Instead of helping me or getting me someone to help me he storm of cussing out loud. Its clear this employee has some anger problems and should not be attending customers if he can't control himself.

Sherrod Russell: Received excellent customers service at the Sam Ash store in the Dolphin Mall in Sweetwater, Florida. I will definitely shop there again.

InloveWGeorgeWeasley -: Bought a cello here months ago and its perfect! Especially since it is my first cello ever after recently starting. Although it was quite the investment ($1.3k), it certainly shows. No scratches or any damage at all in places that I would’ve thought it had and the bow is sturdy. The cello is pretty heavy since it’s full size but it’s okay because I’m becoming a great cellist!

Godfather Don: Amazing people that helped a struggling mother by cancelling her monthly payments so her kid could play trumpet. They only asked that when/if her child stopped playing, return it so they could give to another child to learn.

Joana SD Ribeiro: Rented a Double Base in really bad shape as you can see in the picture.It went to school of my son and when it came home it had a little opening. When I returned they charged me $200 to fix it. First and last time at this store

Genevieve Jenkins: We have had a great experience with Allegro Music Center. They are extremely knowledgable on musical instruments and studies. Both my children have taken lessons here - for piano and violin - and the instructors have been wonderful. They really care about music and their customers. It's truly a pleasure to visit them.

Obed Cruz: Unfortunately it is a far cry from what it used to be. Customer service was extremely poor this morning and my son and I were treated like we were bothering them. They have put pretty much zero knowledge of any brass instruments they seem to have a good supply of the string instruments though. No smiles no welcome nothing that would indicate a knowledge of what they’re selling.

James Lam: If you're looking for a reliable music store, this is the place for you. I've been coming here for almost 10 years fixing up my son's violin. Mr. Manuel Beberian is a very skillful Luthier who takes his time repairing and polishing your instruments. He also sells an excellent quality violin with prices varying on its maker. And if you buy an instrument from Allegro, you can receive free string changes if you ever need it.

Simon McCarthy: Awful customer service. I called and spoke to a woman who either barely spoke English or just couldn’t care less about helping me with a simple question. I asked three times if they carried mandolins. Finally she understood what I was asking and said “I think”. I said um... can you check for me please? So she went and checked and told me they had two. I asked if they were A or F style. She had no clue what I meant. So I explained what they were. She went on to tell me “yes, most of them have eight strings,” which is completely irrelevant. Finally I got tired of doing her job for her and hung up the phone. Their mandolins are in my price range but I’d rather go somewhere else. Don’t bother attempting to shop here, just go to Guitar Center or another custom shop.

Dr. Lisa Walker: I have done business with Manuel for over 15 years and find him to be the most reasonable violin shop in Florida. Manuel works hard to get you the instrument you need and makes sure you are satisfied even months after your purchase. He goes over and above the role of a shop proprietor....even meeting you at the airport if you are in transit to make a transaction work for you. I find him to be honest and fair in all of his dealings. My parents have only the very best experiences with Manuel. I highly recommend Allegro Music Center.

Jo Marquez: They fixed the guitar that apparently was too difficult for others to repair. They always communicated with me after I left my guitar. Heather Holland: Well worth the visit. We were on vacation from Alaska and just had to see what kind of music shop would be open in the middle of the night in South Beach. Some very interesting pieces, but the best part is chatting with Marty and the other folks who stop by. Marty is an amazing craftsman and musician, and I think my daughter will always remember the quick bass lesson he gave her with the perfectly set up old electric bass she fell in love with. Marty, you'll be happy to know we got the bass back to Alaska in one piece with no issues, and she's working away at learning to play it.

Mareling Rios: I don't usually leave reviews but I had to speak about my experience at this place. I know we are all human and have our bad days but when you own a business, you should know how important customer service is. I just left this place not long ago. I walked in around 4:45pm and I was instantly greeted by a young man, whom I have no complaints about. He was very kind and answered my questions to the best of his ability. When he didn't know the answers he sought out who I assume to be the owner. An older man, short and stubby, wears glasses. Cuban accent, they both spoke Spanish. I don't think they knew English. I proceeded to tell them both that I was looking for quotes on musical equipment for my local church. I jotted down some prices they gave me as I went for things like mic stands, cables, guitar stands etc, but a few minutes in the older man got impatient and asked me if I was buying it all today. I repeated myself and said I was there for quotes and I'd be visiting several places to get the best deal. This is when his attitude completely shifted. I asked about what kinds of wireless microphones he had. He told me that I didn't know what I was saying and didn't know what I wanted. That he has many prices and varying kinds and that he won't waste his time showing me anything unless I'm buying it. He proceeded to tell me that if I wanted prices to go somewhere else and then come back to the store. I must say I am a very patient and understanding person and I tried to kindly and respectfully explain to him again that I had to get quotes first before I committed to buying anything. He did not quit barking at me and was not interested in anything else I had to say. I told him that it was alright and I as I left told him respectfully even, that I hope he didn't treat all his customers this way. I walked out at 4:58pm. I was not even there 15 minutes. I wish I could've had a positive experience as I read everyone else's reviews. Also I must say the place is a bit disorganized. Instruments and equipment are all piled onto each other and you're not able to see all the products they have for sale because there's no way around the store. This went on much longer than it should've but I wanted to be honest and not miss anything from this awful experience. I won't say 'don't go there' but I think you'd be better off going to Samash or Guitar Center.

Star Manny: The worst experience ever. Poor customer service, bad attitude and rudeness is what I experienced at Sam Ash Hialeah because I was completely unlucky, the store man was studying piano guys! And he didn't pay attention to the customers at all. Besides showing a full ignorance about the products and components was 100% arrogant, like he was doing me a favor. Guys, don't go to Sam Ash Hialeah, is like traveling back to the communist stores in Havana where you mean nothing. If you enjoy being ignored and treated like s...., Sam Ash Hialeah is the best place to go.

Manuel Obando: Big place with excellent/friendly staff and next day delivery if they don't have it in the store, it was a great experience to shop there.

Dark Mars: I had to take my son's saxophone to get it repaired as advised by his music teacher. When I arrived at the store, I was told that their repair shop is not open. The gentleman who was helping me, wanted to know what was wrong with the instrument and if he could take a look at it. Cristobal said that he is a saxophone teacher and was actually able to figure out what was wrong and also fix it in a matter of seconds. After that he showed me how to handle the saxophone properly so we won't damage it. Thank you so much for your friendly service and the valuable advice Cristobal. You saved me a trip to another store.

Adam Rand: Great place. Johnny was so helpful. Spent time with us. My son went for a guitar lesson today. Liked him so much we got 8 more lessons. As for the store it's a great layout. Lots of choices of guitars amps and other stuff we needed. Not sure how they fit it all in there. We are bringing a broken in to get fixed also. They only issue I had was seeing the place. They need a sign. We found it by accident because we were getting a phone fixed next door. Overall a great choice and we're glad came across this place.

Ernesto Rivera: Use to fix all my guitars there, and buy guitar accessories plus many guitar lessons for my son. I referred many people there and my son did too. Until one day I trusted their judgment on an electric guitar case by Fender. It broke in less than a week and now it's still falling apart. I went for an exchange; the answer: "Sales are final" -showing me the sign. "Contact Fender, that's not our problem now" I tried to contact Fender, no answer so far. I tried to help their small local businesses; now I buy online!

Derek Sullivan: If you need repairs, advice, or new equipment this is the place to go. Johnny is a phenomenal guitar tech! We have taken him three guitars now and he has worked miracles on all three for a very reasonable price. He made my inexpensive Yamaha Pacifica that I bought on Amazon sound and feel like a thousand dollar instrument. Our lead guitarist loves it and often grabs it now when we are jamming rather than his own guitar... I have purchased a bass guitar here and an amp both with the patient and knowledgeable help of Johnny. I will be a lifetime customer of this shop. I haven't had lessons here yet (I'm a drummer) but I plan to. I can't imagine there is a better place to go for guitars.

Keyboard Mizu: At the beginning of the summer, my son and I were looking for a guitar store, as he wanted to buy his first guitar. We are so grateful we went to The Guitar Nook. Johnny guided us through the process of selecting the most convenient guitar for my son, (taking into consideration his height, previous experience, our budget and the kind guitar he was looking for) and now my son has not only a new guitar, but a fantastic guitar teacher that works wonderfully with kids, very knowledgeable, patient and empathetic…a person that teaches from respect and peace. Johnny makes it look so easy, yet his lessons are very complete, and he does a great job involving the students in the process of their own learning, as he includes their particular music preferences to create customized classes for them, and also he integrates other instruments knowledge that the students may have, to make parallel references and reaffirm the new concepts he is introducing. If you like guitars, The Guitar Nook is your place. There’s guitars of all shapes, colors and types. Repairs are done also if you need it. If you want to learn to play the guitar, I guarantee you will love it! I recommend this place a 100%. We love it!!!

Gabriel José Reyes Rodríguez: If you're in Miami and you need new equipment, repairs or advice, this is the place to go. Johnny is an amazing person and guitar/bass tech. I brought to him two bass guitars and he was able to do setup/adjustments on both for a very reasonable price: a 20-year-old Ibanez Ergodyne and a brand-new Fender American Ultra Jazz Bass. If your guitar/bass is having issues, have Johnny take a look at it. You will be happy that you did. I certainly am, and I plan to be a lifetime customer of this ''nook''. Thanks Johnny!

BobbyMcbob: Absoluterly terrible guitar tech... Hired him to re-work the sottering on my guitar. I showed him the back open so that he could have a solid idea of how difficult it would be and that no surprises would show up. First we agreed on $40 cash (which is not only more expensive than guitarcenter but I would assume he wanted cash so that he could avoid the owners cut). He said that he would call me in two days max... I called the third day and said that it was $50. Also said that the guitar was done yesterday and so I went to pick it up. He shows that the potentiometer (volume knob) wasn't working and that he didn't really check it.... after suttering the electronics... Anyway he says that he'll work on it and the day after I pick up the guitar (without the old potentiometer) and once I start recording with it, the know feels super loose... low and behold the picture provided... Listen I love competition and its the main reason why I went here. But do yourself a favor and avoid the guitar tech....

Chris Quito: It's definitely an amazing place, felt like a secret club. Johnny, the man running the store, was just as chill as the store itself, very friendly and knowledgeable about all sorts of topics wether it be about guitars, music, or just general advice. Karen DeLeon: Great Guitar Shop & Lessons, At 55 and with no musical background, I was terribly nervous to learn guitar. Credit to Johnie and The Guitar Nook for my pride is saying “I play guitar” and I am not alone. Other Guitar Nook students include a grandmother learning to play for her church choir, a father who enjoys learning boleros to sing with daughter, and an accomplished pre-teenager that wants to expand her repertoire to include rock ’n roll. The student before me exits each week with a huge smile on her face and her electric guitar strapped across her back. For anyone reading this that has a desire to learn guitar or bass - make the call - you won’t regret it. As for the retail portion of Guitar Nook, the shop is constantly busy with both sales and repairs. Johnie and Nelson take tremendous pride in their customer service and the work they do. I began with an older acoustic that they did a fabulous (and affordable) job of repairing. I have added an electric guitar to my collection and am appreciative of the time and care that was spent to match me to the right instrument. I am lucky - the shop is just a matter of blocks away from my home - but, if it wasn’t, I would make the drive. My only wish is for them to get a better sign out front so that more folks know to stop on by.

Riding In Retirement: I love this place and the fact that it's a musician's Paradise in our local neighborhood is a win-win plus plus. With that being said stop being so cheap with the guitar cases. I bought an Ibanez guitar and left the store with it in a fender cardboard box. Very bad form. In my eyes you owe me a nice gig bag to compensate for being so cheap. I didn't even get a guitar pick... Sheesh 🙄

MC MG: Went for the vinyls, so that’s what I’m reviewing. They have plenty of vinyls and Cds but they were very unorganized. Only some vinyl were alphabetized. Everyone was really nice.

Derek Houser: the staff is great, very friendly people who know their fair share to help you with whatever instrument you might be looking for help with. their stock is always changing so you can different things there very often and sometimes get great deals on used instruments. they also tend to match prices with whatever the best online prices are too so you're never over paying for anything either. the only thing that kind of isn't the best is parking, but still a great place to shop music needs.

William Schramski: My wife works at Musicians Discount Center for 3 years now. She has seen a huge difference from the first day to today, in fact, she likes it there a lot better. New merchandise coming in, revamping the store to make it better. All and all the customer service is great and they have a lot of records to browse through. If i ever need anything this is the first place i go to. Very satisfied. Too all the sales employees keep up the great work.

Gorgjess 1: Great huge store! Staff is usually very knowledgeable. The only setbacks is that some items are out of stock or on backorder. If you need a specific item then plan ahead because they may have to special order it.

Ello Mello: Easiest purchase I've ever made in my life! Went in looking for a violin and ended up walking out with a Yamaha Piano! Coolest dude was the fellow in the drum 🥁 section. He definitely helped me recognize my next instrument. I would of got the drums if I had a soundproof room but I needed a instrument just to help me concentrate on having a new talent. Will definitely be back. Might get x2 guitars in a few weeks. 💯💯💯

Whatever it is, rest assured it will take no less than an HOUR of standing around for one of only 3 employees actually working to finally help you. Odart Graterol: Well assorted store, easy to park but, once inside, it is kind of hard to find some one to assist you. Everyone seems to be busy or doing something more important and you have to wait a lot. (I based my comment in at least 4 visits to this store)

Micha Moeller: Big Store that has almost everything, but the employees are unfriendly and have no clue what they talking about. Great shop if you know what you want. Not good if you need help.

Mike Dielo: If you can handle the cacophony of six or seven teenage Eric Clapton wannabes all practicing their favorite riffs with the volume levels cranked up to 10 ... then this is the place to go for music gear. There are so many choices in guitars, bases, and accessories that it's an assault on your senses. Shop first online, narrow it down to the gear that you essentially need or want, and then go into the store. Buy it and leave quickly!
