Bjorn: Oh yes I really like Joanne fabrics. Sometimes the staff can be a little short but all in all everyone’s very friendly and somewhat knowledgeable. I got some really nice upholstery fabric for four chairs I found on the side of the road. It turned out really well I’ll post pictures soon.
Bearcat Latina: In this store you better be prepared to spend 30 to 45 minutes on check out. It literally took me five minutes to find what I wanted and approximately 45 minutes to an hour before I paid. Very inconsiderate of customer time
Aya: Even though this store is not as big as others has a good selection of things. The place is clean and organized but painfully understaffed. My low rating is because of that. You spend more time finding a worker to help you cut your fabric or to go to the cashier so you can pay than what you spent finding your things. They have on average 2 people so even when they want to be helpful and answer questions or guide people to where the things are, they can’t because they have to be at the register or cutting or putting stuff in the shelves etc. Is sad because I know many of the staff, as I’ve been going to this store for like 7 years, they are nice people but some days the stress and people complaining get the best of them. I hope the store really read the reviews and see that they need more people!! I honestly sometimes just go to Michales instead which happens to be a couple of businesses away in the same plaza, just because I know Joann’s takes more time. So if you go there just plan for NOT an in and out kind of shopping experience.

Rebecca Gonzalez: Adriana Gonzalez recommends Fabric Gallery. I had an amazing experience shopping for fabrics at Fabric Gallery. I am not a designer, but needed to get fabrics to upholster many furniture pieces I owned. This was my first time doing this and I was completely lost as to what to get and how to mix and match fabrics. After doing some research, and I am not exaggerating when I say, I found the most fabulous store with the most professional and helpful staff. Macarena Smart was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. It took me several days to decide what I wanted, and everyday she was there with a smile and ready to bring me book after book of fabric samples until I found the perfect selection. Roger was also very kind and helpful. Aside from fabrics, he showed me wallpapers and rugs, and he was very mindful of my budget, which I highly appreciated. MissScorpion AKAMariah: I had low expectations for this fabric store honestly, but a quick visit changed all of that. They have exactly what I’m looking for at great prices! The inspired fabric goes for $20 everywhere that I’ve seen so far, but it’s only $12 and some change here. I’m going to start making dancewear soon so I need variety. I think I’ll find it here. I’m even more excited to get started now. And the guy was much nicer than the ones at Nunez. Better prices, better customer service. They will get my business.

Sara L: Rosa Fabrics has gorgeous fancy sequinned fabrics for reasonable prices. They sell lining fabrics and organza. They also have a selection of nicely-priced spandex fabrics, both basic and printed. There is a public parking lot less than a block North on the same street that fronts Rosa fabrics. Bring at least $10 in cash to park there.

Ruti Hull: My husband bought me here to buy some suiting fabric, we had driven specifically to come to the store in Miami and got there close to closing time. Our experience was made particularly memorable by Carolina, she was amazing and very knowledgeable, and also patient and didn’t rush us at all. I would say this is probably the best experience I’ve had in a fabric store, I will definitely be coming back next time I am in the area and come a lot earlier so I can look at every fabric in every corner of the store.

Vincent McHugh: This is in a way like stepping back in time to a retail world one rarely finds today. It has an amazing inventory of items for either the professional designer, a dressmaker, or a general consumer. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Covid has impacted the event business such as weddings and proms, so if you can stop by and pick up something I am sure they would appreciate it.

The store is moldy and stuff is extremely rude. the streets that surround this store is also saturated with urine. so shopping online by comparison is like paradise. Karma is a b*tch, so you will get back every little emotion you inspired in your customers.

Curvy Trends: I have to disagree with the previous review. Know what material you need to begin with. I went in today for the first time because I am starting an active wear line and the owner personally helped me out. His employees were very helpful as well(Ricardo). They really take the time to explain what fabric it is and what it can be used for. I do recommend you do your research on your own and have an idea of what you need. Good luck!
Tessa Hasson: I love this fabric store. ENDLESS lycra fabric options for whatever projects you are working on. They weren’t on top of me while I browsed which I always appreciate but were helpful when I had questions. Adrian in particular was great. Check out their Instagram for a taste of just a handful of their inventory.

TheSolebol: I am not a Florida resident so I’ve had to order my fabric via telephone. On two occasions, I felt that the bulk order I’ve placed were not abundant based on the ordered quantity. So, I decided to order in person while visiting. I asked the owner for 40 yards, he presented what he claimed to be 30 yards of rolled fabric and wanted to cut an additional 10 yds from another roll. I asked him to unroll the “30” yards so I can ensure that I’m getting what I pay for. He refused to unroll it. His assistant then told him to place the roll on the machine that can measure and count the yardage, he then refused my request. I proceeded to tell him although I am a firm believer in keeping money within my Haitian community, I don’t think I should be a victim for it. Any reputable fabric store knows the standard procedures for the sale of fabric and maintaining customer satisfaction and the store’s integrity. This was foreign to Mr. Appollon.

Carrie O: I’ve been in this establishment 3 times. It is owned by a Haitian Gentleman who knows his fabrics better than any Joann fabric employee I know. It is a small space but it’s packed with hidden surprises and gems. They have a very small selection of sewing patterns, and the ones they carry are outdated, so this isn’t the place to come for inspiration. They have the necessary ribbons, and fancy accessories. Their button collection is not extensive however they carry the necessities. I find their gems and imitation crystals a little pricey so I shop elsewhere for those. The charm of this delightful shop is hidden in the selection of this mans chosen fabrics he has selected to sell. The prices are below cost and he just doesn’t seem to realize that he is selling above quality lace, suede, leather, and cotton at prices that are shockingly cheaper than any other store I have ever been to. The other charming characteristic, is this mans extensive knowledge, of what fabric to use, for what kind of style of clothing you’re trying to make without a pattern. This lovely man also doesn’t hold back in telling you about, which fabrics are on sale; which also just blows me away. Since I have been in this store more than once, I believe my review is an accurate reflection, of what this store represents, as well as offers the local public!

Been shopping there since I was a teenager in art school. ❤️ this place! The neighborhood, Little Haiti, is not upscale, but it is full of vibrant culture and history if you get to know the people.
