Jennifer Hill: I called on Monday and was told a project staffer would call right back to schedule a time. No one called. I called back Wednesday and was told they had no record of my call from Monday, but someone would call. I called back Friday and was told that someone had called—they had not. I said no one had called and was told—within 60 seconds of being told someone had called—that no one would call for at least three months. I said we weren’t in a hurry for the actual work but just wanted advice and an estimate. The scheduler then said they were at least three months behind on even doing estimates. When I asked why I wasn’t told that on Monday or Wednesday or esrlier in the call Friday, I was told that there was no contradiction. I asked that a manager call me—and, guess what? Big surprise! No one called. What a waste of time and load of unprofessional misrepresentations.

Justin Wood: My professional opinion as a construction manager for a national homebuilder. Downright Engineering is suffering from poor customer care, poor quality, and weak leadership. Recently my gated community in Homestead needed to complete a few final concrete repair areas before the community is completed. The HOA put out a letter stating that work would begin at 8am, a reasonable time to start work. Downright Engineering started at 7am with saws and jack hammers. I was woken up to the sound and went outside to ask them to return at 8 am. The workers did not care about my concerns and continued to work away with the equipment. The next day it was obvious that their work quality was just as poor as their people skills. Downright engineering did not use wood forms to lay the concrete and now the sidewalk pools water on the new area. Also the new slab is uneven and does not match the existing finish. To finish things off the dripped concrete splatter all over my new paver driveway. This will not come off, so the pavers will have to be replaced. People, just be aware that the quality with this company is a direct reflection of the owner and managers at this company. If you want your job to turn out nice, do not use them. Regards.

His integrity and honest communication has restored my faith that there are still quality, hard working professionals that look out for their customer. He went above expectations and will be a great asset to Home owners, Real Estate professionals, and housing investors that are looking for a extraordinary demolition crew. He was contracted to demo a decaying wooden shed. His price was reasonable in today’s market. He finished in the time he proposed even despite the weather conditions. His team meticulously took down the shed taking into consideration not to damage the fence nearby. If you are looking to demo anything I would definitely consider Josue and his team.

My reasons for beginning my review with that statement is that I have done business with many different companies throughout the years and found that working with Josue form Florida Demolition and Concrete was both refreshing and tasteful. From the beginning he answered my call and answered my questions very honestly and educated in his line of work. I had other estimates done and his estimate on the job was dead on and never swayed from the original estimate. His crew was punctual and polite and as the work was done his crew cleaned up after themselves at every turn,. In summary I would definitely recommend his Florida Demolition and Concrete as a solid company that under promises and over delivers. These facts proved to me that there are still companies in this day and age in Miami that still hold to the values that were instilled in me as a child and that meant a lot to me and my family. I called and immediately spoke to Josue which gave me the best quote for the work being done. They arrived on time, performed the work and left everything clean with no signs of them being their. Work was done perfectly. I gave them five stars because working in the service industry I know how important that is. They were excellent and I would recommend them to anyone that needs Concrete work done.

Support IMAIM CAPITAL: Vendor did a very unprofessional work. The restoration of the stairs was supposed to be made with concrete but vendor applied stucco. The finish of the stairs was terrible and hazardous and the size of the steps were not even a feet. The company did even not fix the bad work done so we can finish it properly. They left the site in bad conditions, full of debris, and took the money. When a refund was requested, the owner Mr.Perez did not want to return it, not even a part of it as we offered him. Will never work with him again or recommend his company.
Response: Customer breeched contract, attempts to reach a resolution failed and we were advised to not return to site. We are open to finish our contractual obligations if client will honor mutually signed and agreed to contract. God Bless.

Carlos Alonso: I called Bigfoot Construction to give me an estimate to paint my house after another contractor kept rescheduling and missing appointments. They came out and gave me an explanation of the process, helped me understand the types of choices I had for paint, and worked with me and my wife on picking the right colors and the right type of paint (Outdoor). His crew arrived on time and had the exterior prepped, painted and ready faster than he estimated. They even took the time to protect my front yard garden. ROBERT REAL: First rate construction company. After years of contemplating my wife and I decide to have our home re-model from top to bottom. We had 6 contractors give us a quotes. Only Bigfoot Construction showed up on time to meet with us. This was a huge project with many variables. Long story short - Bigfoot gave us a quote we could live with and they delivered on time and as promised. Dawn Arieno: Was on sawgrass 2 weekends ago and was almost ran off the road by one of its pickups . He was doing over 100 mph . My husband called the company and left a message and no one responded. Beware of these trucks on the road they drive like maniacs. White truck with general asphalt on side of it.

Jeffrey Davis: Southern Marine rebuilt a seawall at my house after another local company (that had installed it) could not figure out why it kept cracking. The repairs were perfect and lasted for years. I also had Southern Marine install a new dock and two boat lifts. They worked seamlessly with my architect,engineer ,electrician and plumber to make sure all the drawings and plans would be approved.Their work product and attention to detail was excellent. I would strongly recommend this company.They have been in business for many years, have the respect of the building departments throughout Miami-dade County and honor their contracts .

david kinder: The worst company I’ve ever worked for they do not understand the concept of work life balance. They have a horrible safety record. The crane I was running was having mechanical problems. I told the company about the problems with the crane and they pretty much ignored the issue. As time went by the problem got worse. As I was in the process of taking the other crane down with the crane that I was running the crane ended up dropping a load and almost killing two people. The crane supervisor was either fired or quit over the incident. It was not too long after that they laid me off. I was told by the manufacturer that the crane was never set up properly.

Nadia Lutgebuter: Easygoing process from beginning to end. My husband and I have little knowledge of construction issues. They did entire flooring and tiles in kitchen, and one bathroom in the time frame we had hoped for. They did a great job, and were respectful.

Carlos Reece: The boat lift service team here is the best. They keep appointments and have gone out of their way to help get me back in the water. I have a neptune lift that my contractor would not help me with. Neptune, themselves would not help. The service team they recommended is pure garbage. The team here who is not even a dealer has taken the time to get me rolling while they try to get the correct parts from neptune who is being difficult and is sending them to their competition to buy parts from (again with no luck) If you need a lift or lift service this is the place to go. Ross and Albert are the best!
Brian Pollock: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ValueGlenn and his team are great. They not only do great work, but they stand behind it. I highly recommend Dock & Marine Construction and would use them again.
Terry Perrin: We had Dock and Marine change some pilings and other work. They do amazing work and did it on time and price was right inline. I highly recommend them for any type of marine work.

They have been in business for years and it truly is a family business. Awsome and loyal staff sets apart from the rest. Ask for Glen. You will not be disappointed.

Isabela Villanueva: This construction company has been renovating the building 9 Island Avenue in Miami Beach for the last 3 years - it was supposed to be finished by June 2018 and they are still not even close to finishing because they never paid their subcontractors and this is about to go to litigation so you can imagine how frustrating and aggravated everyone in the building is with this company. So no, I wouldn’t recommend at all because of their extreme tardiness, unprofessionalism and complete lack of responsibility and unreliability.
