I had the most pleasant experience and was treated with respect. The manager is a funny dude and genuinely cared that I was happy. I am a Hertz Presidents Circle member and have rented from many locations. These guys are great! Thank you

Jenny Cruz: I normally don’t post anything, but my experience with Hertz was 10/10. Costumer service was amazing!! We had to make some last minutes changes to our reservation but it couldn’t be fixed by phone or thought the internet so we went in person to this office and Biyung were able to come up with a great solution. My family and I are happy with the service provided. We will definitely come back to this office next time we are in Miami :D

David Therrien: Cruise terminal Hertz is closed. This place is wicked busy with only 2 of 6 employees working on a Saturday. About 1.5 hours to get my car that was not filled with gas that I was later charged for. Do better Hertz.

Cassie Lauria: If I could give no stars I would. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a vendor! First, when I got to the location to pick up the vehicle, it was a mad house with tons of customers and very little direction from employees. The car smelled like smoke and was scratched up all over. When I tried to mention it to a manager (because I did not want to be responsible for it) there was no one available to assist and they blew me off. Then when I dropped the car off they never "returned" the rental, even with my multiple emails and phone calls to them. I even filed a report with corporate to get the rental "returned" It was almost a full TWO WEEKS after I left my vacation the rental was FINALLY closed. And now they charged me $500+ more than they should have. My rental should have been around $202 and ended up being $748!! WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!!!!!!!! I saw the bad reviews for this location and I figured how bad could it be....well I wish I never did business with them. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place and the headache you will have after using them! Terrible!!!

Nicholas Tipton: Came in with a group of friends to get a last minute rental for our short trip to Miami. The employees were able to help us get in to a vehicle in about 30 minutes. Marlon and BJ are friendly people. Next time we come to visit Miami we’ll be coming back for another rental.

Alvin Thao: Don’t do it. The pre agreement charges do not match with the final charges. I was charged double for the “loss damage and liability insurance” fee. I was the only driver and had the car for only 20 hours. The car was returned in the same condition. Never again with hertz.

Ariella LA: Prior to arriving to Miami, I was hesitant to make a reservation with Hertz based on my previous negative experiences in the northeast, but the team at Miami DT HLE was by far the best to rent from! Every person greeted us from the time we arrived until the time our car was ready. The sales team made sure that we had a car that fit our reservation and needs. They cared about making customers leave their rental office happy, and you can tell these guys were genuine. When we arrived back to drop off our vehicle, the guys were all very helpful and accommodating to us. This team restored my trust in renting with Hertz and when we come back to Miami, we will rent with the Miami DT HLE office again! Thank you again for an awesome experience!

Thomas Donovan: Ricardo at Rent & Paradise was a pleasure to work with when it came to renting a Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder during my stay in South Beach Miami. Ricardo was in touch with me long before the rental and made the process very easy, answering all of my questions. Unfortunately the green car I wanted was damaged a few days before my date of pickup but Ricardo set me up with an extra 25 miles free and showed me a cool grey one instead making sure that was ok. The guys delivered the car to us right in-front of the hotel, and came back late at night to pick it up with no issue. The car was obnoxiously loud, a blast to drive and well cleaned. I unfortunately scratched the paint during my time with it but the guys at Rent & Paradise were pretty chill about it and focused instead on if I enjoyed my time with the car. I am still waiting to see what I might owe for the repair but I was assured it would be very little if anything at all. Great experience. Thank you.

Lenny Richards: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I booked through Expedia it was a great price. Get there and the agent is virtual. Ask about insurance I tell him I have my own and show insurance card. He said he needs my insurance declaration. (Who has that) I did though in the app. The agent looks at it and says sorry you don’t have fuse insurance. I had no clue what that was as I never had an issue before. He says it’s overnight coverage and said it would be $19 extra. I said well I guess I might as well take you insurance. Oh yea if you use your own it’s a $1000 deposit. So I was like I will pay the $30 with the $250 deposit. I return the car a few days later 6:30am take a few pictures and think I am good. I get an email at 8:30pm with a picture of just a windshield no color of car license plate nothing and it’s a small mark on the window. They says I owe $599 as the insurance I paid extra for does not cover window or tire damage. I send them my pictures showing it’s fine and no marks on the window. They say it’s not a good view of the window. I send a close up they say it’s not time stamped. I ask them to send me pictures showing it was the car I rented they say the car is back on rent. Then proceed to hit my card for $599.

I booked a car through travelocity and they made me pay a bunch of extra fees / insurance when I arrived which ended up being more than double what I originally paid. On top of this the car I received was a salvaged car that felt like it was going to fall apart any second. I felt so unsafe driving it and regret booking with them. Save yourself and book something else!

Clement Gomes: SCAM AND INSURANCE FRAUD!!! The positive reviews are probably FAKE! Check Trip Advisor!!! Company had many extra fees when arrived but we dealt as we had to take a shuttle to get there. They asked us to take pictures of any damage and email to them before leaving the lot. We did as directed. A day after returning the car, I received an invoice for over $700 for damage to the car. When I reviewed the pictures of the "damage", I realized the it was the same pictures that I SENT before leaving the lot!!! They tried to accuse me of damage that was there at pick up! When I contacted them, they fought back but thankfully I used my AmEx Platinum card and they covered my dispute. I mean, how STUPID can you be to send me back my pictures then falsely claim I caused the damage when there are emails with time stamps clearly as proof. These people are scam artists and DUMB ones at that!

Lina Pokidyuk: SCAMMERS. If you notice there are only five star reviews and one star reviews. They say hindsight is 20/20 well that is true, if you look at the reviews it’s very obvious that the five star reviews are likely from someone that either works for the company or their friends. So I tried to take my chance. Booked my rental car through discover cars.com Went to pick up our rental car, and all of a sudden they came up with an administration charge of $40 per day, because I’m using my own insurance. Nowhere terms and conditions is this mentioned anywhere and when I showed the agent the terms/conditions she said it’s not in there. When confronted about it, they just blew it off. Old school bait and switch. We ended up walking out, very mad but not surprised, and going down the street. There’s a bunch of places, all within walking distance, that will rent you a car on the spot without any gimmicks and surprises. We went on 26th street and the place we found, not only gave us a fair price, but even let us use their SunPass and only charged for the tolls that we went through which came to $14 for the week. Sad that Rent a Scam 4 Less even exists.

Baby Walker: We were absolutely appalled by the horrible service from start to finish - if I could give this place 0 stars, I would! After arriving from our cruise at the port, the complimentary shuttle took over an hour to pick us up after the first one left. Once the shuttle arrived, the driver was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and unapologetic for his aggressive behavior toward us. There was a line of guests who had been waiting for over an hour including our party of 7 including a 12 month old. The driver completely ignored us when we told him we arrived first with another family and he brushed us off to just wait in a line to fight for spots in the car, he then made us squish like a bunch of sardines with our sleeping baby sitting on his grandfathers lap in his car seat. 6 of my family members including my baby were in the back seat while I sat in a row of people who just arrived on the line - one of the women who were new to the line sat on her husbands lap, the whole ordeal was very unsafe. Once we arrived to the budget hub, he asked for tips and was upset when no one tipped because of how horrible his service was. An elderly man started yelling at him when we arrived because he ended up having to hire a car to get him to budget after waiting for over an hour himself. After arriving we stood on line for over an hour and a half at the hub. You would think on a busy day like a Sunday when people are arriving back from vacation they would have more staff available, but no, there was ONE person sitting at the desk attending to guests from both Budget and Avis. Eventually after 1.5hours another attendant came to help budget customers. We finally received our vehicle (which we reserved over a month prior to our trip) and made our journey home. The day after, we went to return the car to the Budget near our home, but apparently, they gave us the WRONG vehicle in Miami, so instead of it being a quick process to give back the car, it took over 20 minutes for the attendant to re-enter all of our information to correct what the Miami hub did. All-in-all, the experience at this location was truly horrible and if you can avoid it, please do!

Ekaterina Oparina: I had by far the worst experience renting a car here in my life. All the workers, including Juan and the manager are the most incompetent workers. They obviously don’t know how to manage a rental car place. Be prepared to wait 1-2 hours even with a reservation! Save yourself the stress and trouble, rent at the airport or even better with another company!

P Rivera: Much need for improvement, came from a cruise ship to pick up my SCHEDULED rental car. This is a combined Budget/Avis branch and tiny location at that. I waited over 2 hrs for a reservation that was scheduled weeks in advance. This is a very busy location with car rentals in and out continuously, not even really having the time to prep the vehicle correctly. Expansion definitely a need, and a more organized method of checking in and out the vehicles. More staff would help. Think twice about booking at this place.

Alan Lask: Absolutely terrible service. I was told to wait for my name to be called “in 10 minutes!”. I waited for over an hour because the staff messed up, and was not given an ounce of an apology for wasting my time. In fact, they avoided making eye contact with me when I came up to ask what happened. If you need to rent a car, go somewhere else, or be prepared to wait. I’ve rented cars many times, but it’s never been this bad. I would give 0 stars if I could and would’ve left if I hadn’t paid beforehand. **Edit: I ended up waiting over 2 hours, and when I asked for an ETA the staff yelled at me to "SIT DOWN". Incredibly rude and unprofessional.

Anna Drouches: They don’t have cars. There were 50+ people waiting outside on a busy street for their pre-reserved rental car. They wait for people to drive to the port / return a car before they have a car to give to people getting off cruise ships. You end up waiting anywhere from 1 hour (lucky) to 3 hours… There are 4 chairs in their waiting room so everyone waits outside with their luggage. Budget needs to close 9-11am reservations if they can’t honor them. Location is old and dirty.

A Nadi: ZERO STARS - DO NOT RENT HERE Made a reservation days ahead of time, confirmed it as a fast break customer. Fast beak meaning car is prepped and ready for rental, no wait. Waited in line for 30 mins, was told once to a rep at the desk that they don’t have cars. What’s the point of making a reservation? Canceled my reservation, walked out without a car.

Danny G: A car being rented at Hertz was involved in an incident with myself. I have been trying to contact Hertz service about this but have not received any response. I can only assume I will have to keep trying, meanwhile the damage to my car is left unpaid. I will continue to leave reviews regarding my horrible with Hertz and why someone should be extremely cautious while obtaining their insurance with Hertz, its possible you might need them and not be able to contact them. Very frustrating.

The guy there was extremely rude and lazy, we were waiting for one hour and a half because the car wasn’t ready although we arrived there later that the scheduled pick up time and he charged us one hour extra plus fee when we got the car back even though we agreed with him we’ll do that since we picked up the car late. We trusted him when he said it’s ok, we don’t need to make that change in the contract because he was probably too lazy to do it again and we paid for that. And when I called to complain they’re telling me I should have made the change in the contract, but they’re not at all concerned their employee lied to our faces. Never again, Hertz!

Samuel Feito: I made the reservation for a premium class and they give me a nice brand new Cadillac that had only few miles and it felt amazing.

James Manfield: Lack of common sense. Waited 25mins for somebody to take care of us. We prepaid in advance but they still required a credit card which we did not have on us. Offered to pay a cash deposit and they said there’s nothing they can do. Not a brain cell in the entire store.

Jay Ezra: Hertz moved my pickup location to one near the airport because they’re “consolidating locations.” Meanwhile, they have a single person working the store and a line of people filling the entire interior of the building. Update- to top it off, they literally didn’t have my car. They had no cars. Never using hertz again.

Stefany Romero: This location is off site from the airport, about a 10 minute drive. We rented a car here through Expedia and it stated they had airport shuttle, when we arrived at the airport we had to call them as we didn’t see the shuttle. They stated that they only had a shuttle bus from the location to the airport, therefore we had to take a taxi to the location. Upon turning in the car they then stated they only had a shuttle from the airport to the location. Very unprofessional and completely unacceptable.

Daniel Al: Let me start by saying that this is the worse company and location to go to for a rental car. Fellow veterans do no go for them because you will not get services and they will lie to your face. Not only did the call me stating the was no car available they would not give a refund for said car but were charging me an extra $100 for their mistake. When asked for the employee who help me the manager David Mayorga lied and said he was Ernesto. When confronted for his obvious lie he proceeded to threaten me with the police because I called him a liar. Just to get a refund it was a constant run around by them to only finally get my refund with no $100 cancellation charge when I said I was contacting my lawyer. This is no way to treat customers and not only fail at service but also take my money and then tried to charge me more for their errors. NEVER GO TO THIS COMPANY! Update: Even with the comment by the owner I saw no results. This company is never gonna improve. Results should be to fire those irresponsible employees and to do the job right. Again do not trust this company.

Gromo Service: I booked the car on 28/12/2019 11:00 over a month earlier. After arriving at the place of 2 men went out to the parking lot to inform me that NO CARS ARE AVAILABLE. I came specially 30 miles. Customer service in the parking lot and not in the office! No previously booked car! the credit card deposit was forfeited! No desire to propose another solution! I DO NOT RECOMMEND and advise against everyone! I submit a complaint to the official headquarters of HERTZ! Pick up the license! I do not greet you!

karim9591: The absolute worst car rental experience I’ve ever had. Every single person that I saw walked out of there walked out in a bad mood. They accused a guy, who had a rental for four days, of putting tints on the car and said they were going to charge him for it… Like, what!? Do you think a guy is going to invest money to put tints on a rental…? That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. And then I’m waiting in line for half an hour just to get told that I have to leave and go purchase a mask and get back in line again. Why I wasn’t told us in the very beginning when they first saw me in line? Who knows. But they made a bunch of people leave to go get masks. After that, I finally get to the counter, just to get told that my rental will not be ready for another hour! An hour! Even though it had already been an hour since my pick up time. So that means if I would’ve went there at my pick up time, I would’ve had to wait two hours!? What is the point of making a reservation for a certain time if it’s not even gonna be close to that time? And then when I ask the bigger/older hispanic woman who works there for a confirmation of cancellation she says no. Just “no”. Please believe me, just believe me, you will not have a good experience here. It’s not just me. Look at the other reviews. Pass on this place. Get a rental from another place. Even if it’s more expensive, it is not worth the headache. That’s even if you can get a rental here in the first place!

Sean: Terrible Experience! I already booked with them a couple of weeks in advance and planned my whole trip with the hotel reserved in key west. Then when I went there to get my car, they said that they don’t have any cars available and they didn’t even try to provide any remedy. The lady, Maria, even called a police on me to throw me out of the place! I couldn’t believe how easily they ruined my whole vacation with no logical explanation. If you are not able to rely on your booking which I paid in full, what’s the point of booking?! Never recommend this place nor any Dollar rental agencies.

Paul Willard: Do not rent from this location. My wife and I made a prepaid reservation in advance, presented the same major Visa card at the time of rental. I was then told I could not rent because I had given them a debit card. I politely corrected them and showed them that it was a major visa credit card with a $25k credit limit, and asked them to talk with the credit card issuer to confirm. They refused, were rude and continued to tell me it only mattered what their system showed and they would not help me. They then told me to leave because they had other customers waiting.

Johan Van Werven: Worst carrental experience ever. Online confirmation looked good but after bossing us to wait outside for 45 minutes, the arrogant lady at the counter told us we were too late (1,5 hours …) for our reservation and no cars were available anymore. When we asked why she had’t send us an e-mail cancel our reservation or inform us while we had to wait outside, she said it’s all the airlines fault the flights were cancelled and cars not returned. Completely in denial, full mess, totally unreliable. We then went to Sixt, great service (allthough they also didn’t have a car). But they were polite and friendly, something the staff at Thrifty Dollar was apparently not able to. Never will use them again.

Dane Markham: AVOID. They canceled my reservation without prior notice or my permission. I showed up to the rental agency and the lady was extremely rude and unapologetic that she gave my reservation to someone else. The best she could do was give me a reservation for “next week”. What a joke of an agency. They wasted my time and money.

Steven Daicos: Picked up car and suspected that there was a strange smell. Manger convinced me it was nothing. Picked up the family they immediately confirmed the car smelled like urine. I immediately called the location: 216 16th Miami. Manger of Thrifty / Dollar LUIS SALOMON did nothing and refused to acknowledge the issue. I returned the vehicle. I was charged for a single day rental even though the car was returned within 25min (driven 4miles) of being picked up - see attached photo of receipt. The manager also charged a $25 early return fee. LUIS SALOMON Became combative I had to call the police to address his behaviour. Rental contract number RR 982383640 This was surprisingly the manager of the location. Thirty / Dollar do better when hiring managers that represent you to the public Police arrived and questioned the manger in regards to the smell. The manger claimed that the smell was from the cleaner used to sanitize the car. Conveniently the manager was not able to produce the cleaner for the officer to confirm the bogus claim. Do not use this location. Trust the Google reviews provided. -Photos of vehicles attached -Receipt -Photo of officer’s note pad with managers name.

Meir Moskowitz: Worst customer service. Worst rental place. Payed in full online and was yold by representativ the amound of 175.83 to be due on day of pick up and no more. Ended up charging me over 400 dollars. Almost refused to give me the car until i threatened to call the police.

Sanita Kadic: Luis was very unprofessional and rude. I have never in my life experienced such terrible customer service! He should not be working with customers! He showed up 10 minutes late, continued to ignore I was even there for an additional 5 minutes. Then was completely rude our entire conversation. I dont want to go through all the details but believe me you DO NOT want to rent from this place. Interacting with this LUIS guy (apparently he’s the manager) can ruin your vacation!
