Ronald Katz: Bought outdoor lounge chairs and patio furniture. Was told they were “yacht grade” material that was resistant to stain. We bought custom covers to protect from sun even though Salesmanager promised we would not have to. Regardless, the yacht grade material is stained and cannot be cleaned. When we called and went into store personally, the person there said that we would have to submit an email to the company. We sent a couple of emails which went unanswered despite having a warranty. Whatever. Although their stuff looks nice, the quality of their products are not worth the money. Better off buying cheap stuff you don’t mind throwing away. Bad company with worse management. Would not buy here again.

Jason Rindler (Rindletron): Our experience at Modani was everything someone shopping for high-end furniture should expect, and more. We were extremely impressed with the store as soon as we walked in. The Modani management and staff clearly put a lot of thought into the presentation of the store to create an enjoyable experience as customers browse. The selection is extensive with a wide variety of styles to match any taste, no matter how traditional or unconventional (see below). Furthermore, for this level of sophistication and quality, the prices are surprisingly competitive, and we found exactly what we wanted well within our budget. Finally, what really made our time at Modani enjoyable was the warm, welcoming customer service we received, particularly from Mykia, our design consultant. Mykia approached us promptly and made us feel welcome. Then she assisted us professionally and patiently, taking the time to understand our needs. Mykia, along with the other consultants and the manager, made the entire experience so enjoyable that after we completed our purchase and left the store, we said, “That was fun.” Needless to say, Modani earned their five stars. This was our first purchase at Modani but I doubt it will be our last.

Gurer Kiratli: I placed an order online and they asked me to send my ID via email. This is very insecure and sketchy. They risk the customers and themselves by storing all these IDs in their email and provide a terrible customer experience. When I was trying to find an option for sending this out securely they just canceled my order. I'd strongly recommend you to take your business elsewhere. Update: The representative Andrea worked out solution with me on this. She has been great, very helpful and attentive. I still recommend them to rethink their policy and find a secure solution.

jim phillips: Furniture shopping can be both fun and tedious, and it can also be overwhelming. Our experience at Modani, with the help of Mihaela, was positive and productive. We are furnishing a new condo, and faced two challenges -- selecting individual pieces we liked, and having them make sense together in terms of scale and style. Some pieces caught my eye as I went past the showroom on a recent run. We went in later for a closer look and the sales person, Mihaela, was very helpful, but with zero pressure. We went back again a few days later (last evening) for another look and we placed an order. Two things to note: (1) the items we wanted were in stock (not the case nowadays at a lot of places) for quick delivery, and (2) the customer service was outstanding. Am I the only one, or have you noticed that during the pandemic, customer service has gotten terrible almost everywhere? We had a busy day and didn't get to the showroom last evening until about 20 minutes before closing time. Mihaela was finishing up with another customer, but told us if we wanted to wait, she would stay to help us beyond closing. To complete the sale and arrange delivery, she stayed an extra half hour, and we walked away as very happy customers. So, for a combination of variety, value, availability, and customer service, I recommend checking this place out. UPDATE:. We purchased a beautiful, and somewhat massive solid slab wood dining table that developed a crack. The warranty people refused our claim, but Gary from the Modani customer service department arranged delivery of a replacement the following week, with no argument or hassle. It was a very tight fit in the elevator, but the delivery guys were professional and committed to making the delivery work. We continue to be very impressed by this company and their employees.

Bio Waves: This is a second experience with Modani in the past year. Both encounters were terrible. My sales person, Makaya has “I hate my job” written all over her face. After several days of calls and a store visit I received half of order. I am waiting now to receive a confirmation of a refund to start a purchase process all over again. Last time I put myself through this experience.

Oscar Garcia: Furniture looks nice but is of poor quality. I bought 6 of the neiro dining chairs about 3 years ago and they are all broken in the same area. The stitching in the area were the back joins the seat cushion is broken in all the chairs. We only use them once in a while to have family dinner night.

Peter: Customer service is not dead everywhere - but it is dead at Modani. Given a month lead time and inventory in-stock, they couldn't get the order on the right truck. No proactive calls to the customer and left me following up on delivery day. They made no apologies for their mistake or any efforts to expedite and make it right....simply suggested a new delivery date 2 weeks away. Perhaps they have good furniture, I'll never know. I cancelled the order and they don't care.

Susan Shane: From the moment I walked into the Miami Showroom of Anima Domus, I knew my project would be completed as I imagined. The product is great and the staff is equally first class. They helped me convert my office into a office/guest suite using their couch/Murphy bed combination. Then we placed a floating desk storage unit on the opposite wall. It was well worth the wait and the design staff and showroom personal were so attentive and helped me design the room that is now my happy place. I would highly recommend.

Like nothing I've seen before (I've been a dedigner for 30 years plus) Attend promptly to requests from client and provide an array of solutions. One thing it is important to add in any transaction in the design and construction industry is, the supplier cannot be responsable for the things buyers are not prepared or aware of. If we look for solutions to issues, we need to know what we are asking for and the site conditions we are bringing the items to. Never give up! That's their motto.

SHILO GORACOFF: Well I have say what a remarkable find this company & Steve are. I shopped all the big name furniture stores in Broward & Dade to no avail. I Wanted a Medium Red Cherry platform Storage bed for my new memory foam mattress. Nobody had one. So what the heck looked on Amazon & found what I wanted, wow. Not so much, in maybe 2 weeks I might get it. So on with the search & by my great fortune found BIG BOX & Steve. Not only did he have the same price as on Amazon but I could have it the next day, Really? YES!!! Incredible, a company that wants your business & will make sure your happy. The delivery company will even setup your new bed for a nominal fee. AWESOME! The 2 best parts, 1) never sat foot in their showroom & transacted my purchase over the phone with Steve. 2)The owner of the company called me 3 days later to see that everything was satisfactory. Victoria Carmona: I ordered a bed from City Furniture in September! They delivered half of the bed in September because they “didn’t have storage” to hold it until the other half came. So I’ve been sleeping on the floor watching these boxes for 5 months. Finally, the other part was supposed to arrive last Thursday…. They reschedule without notice AGAIN. After calling relentlessly the rest of the bed arrives today. I told the delivery man that I had paid for the assembly service and he says that he is going back to the truck to get his partner to put it together. He NEVER CAME BACK. Flat out lied to my face. I am woman and there’s no way I can assemble that canopy bed on my own, which is why I’d gotten the premium service in the first place. I’ve gotten days of work off to wait for these deliveries and can never seem to have my bed in place. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. It’s not worth it.

Dale Edwards: We went to City Furniture to look at sectionals that would work better in our new apartment. We found one we liked and it was on sale. The salesperson talked to us and was very nice. He sent us the info sheets electronically since I wanted to measure one more time. He said that I could with him finish via email. So, a couple hours later I emailed questions for him to confirm. Nothing back. I followed up twice more. Finally, he got back to me weeks later and the sectional isn’t on sale. Of course they will sell it to me at full price. At the very least, they should honor the original promotion. I was told to finance it if I wanted to save additional money. What a joke! I don’t absolutely need a new sofa, so I guess I’ll continue my search and avoid City Furniture in the future. Follow up: I was told three managers have tried to call me and I never got back to them. This is untrue. I have had one missed call today and no messages were ever left. I would avoid them if this is how they treat customers. Update: City Furniture will do nothing. So my advice is to avoid them if you want good customer service. I won’t buy from them and hope others avoid them too.

kerri lynn mello: The initial process was fast and easy! I made it very easy for Thomas, who was helping me, because I already knew what I wanted. The left chaise was back ordered until May 18 but the rest of the set would have been available the following day for delivery. I booked the delivery for the 24th so I could only have one delivery instead of taking two days off of work and have into a coordinate with my building to use the elevator. A couple of days before delivery I got a notification about my items being delivered but the chaise said it was on back order. I reached out to Thomas and told him about this and he told me to disregard it that it was indeed IN STOCK and I would have a FULL complete set on Tuesday the 24th. The day of the delivery my items were delivered with the exception of the chaise!!!! Thomas had lied to me!!!! I had to take an extra half day off of work the following day and coordinate with my building so I could receive the other half of my couch. I feel Thomas should have given me some sort of a discount and/or a set of pillows for his lies and inconvenience!!! Had I known I would’ve had to do two different deliveries, I could’ve just received my couch the following day and waited for the chaise. I had been out of a couch for 2 1/2 weeks because I waited for the complete set; I didn’t want to have to take more time off of work. But at the end of the day I had to take time off of work!! I reached out to Thomas to ask for any compensation and he ignored my email and failed to get back to me!!!! I do love my couch. The delivery drivers were very fast and efficient. However, if I was to ever purchase anything from this store again, I would not have Thomas be my sales person. I am disappointed with his lack of Accommodations and communication skills.

Dhruti Patel: BUYERS BE WARE!! DO NOT SHOP HERE! This company has the worst customer service and terrible product quality. I bought a sectional sofa from them September 2021 and it is now January 2022 and I still have not received this item. Firstly, I purchased from this store, to support a local chain, and as I was told the item was in stock and would be delivered within two weeks. THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY NOT THE CASE. I only got once piece in that time frame, which was actually dirty and had to be taken back. The rest of the pieces kept getting delayed and was finally told the couch model is now out of stock and not expected to be in stock until March 2022!!! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE WHEN I PURCHASED MY ITEM IN SEPTEMBER 2021. I patiently waited as parts were delivered and was dealt with the horrible customer service with each delay. They are not helpful and make fake promises. And when they sent the last piece January 2022, after much complaining to the social media department, HOWEVER IT WAS THE ABSOLUTE WRONG COLOR!!!! Finally I attempted to cancel the order with no hope in sight, and again the customer service is apologetic and is not even willing to even make returns easy for you when this entire situation was their fault in the first place. -- To be clear, I did not purchase the in home drop of service as I was under the impression I would only need to hustle one time at the initial delivery to bring up the pieces to my apartment (which I could arrange to do). However I was not expecting to take these individual pieces up and down multiple times!! Especially when it was the company's fault in the first place. Since they sent a dirty item, sent the wrong item, and are processing a cancellation as they no longer have the item in stock, this company is not even willing to extend a complimentary pick up from home service, which forces me to take time off a work (I'm a healthcare worker who works in hospital), and I have to arrange and carry the items to the loading area to be picked up. I am completely over this company which is why I am writing this detailed review as I hope you do not have a similar experience. Furnishing an apt/home is already frustrating to begin with. Please don't be fooled! Take care!

Vinay Patel: Worst place to buy furniture EVER! We went to the store in October of 2021 and placed an order for over $20k worth of furniture. The sales lady (Elizabeth) said all items would deliver by January. January became February and February became March and March became April and so forth. They overpromised to sell the items but under delivered. Do not buy anything from this store. When you follow up, Elizabeth doesn’t answer and neither does the main office. Least ethical place I’ve ever shopped at. They consistently lie and do not care about the customers whatsoever. Waiting 8-9 months for furniture is ridiculous. If they were transparent from the get go, I wouldn’t have wasted my time. Potential buyers please stay away from City Furniture. You’re better off buying elsewhere.

Menka Tolani: I have had the worst experience with City Furniture. I moved to Miami in January and ordered all my apartment furniture from them, even hiring their interior designer to guide us. The biggest issue is the in-stock items. When my fiancé and I ordered items from them, we made sure with our sales assistant that it was in stock, and he guaranteed it to us several times. However, when it came to delivery, the items were suddenly not in stock and we weren't told when it was coming. Honesty about that would have been appreciated so we could have changed our order and gotten something else that was readily available instead of waiting 6 months for our items. The second issue is the delivery personnel. There are some who were just plain rude and obnoxious. Before even unboxing items, they were calling their customer service department and having me speak to them to make sure delivery was made and was successful. I hadn't even seen the item yet, and they kept insisting I speak on the phone, which I did not do until they unwrapped the item. They then were very rude and walked out of the house, refusing to ask me if everything was okay or double-check the product to make sure it was all okay. Even my building staff experienced their rudeness and had to call customer service to let them know about this. The third issue was the manager at the Midtown store. He was not kind at all and acted like he doesn't need any customers in his store. He didn't want to help us at all, even though we literally went and bought ALL our apartment furniture from them. City Furniture expects you to pay in full upfront but doesn’t give you proper service back. The fourth issue is their customer service contact line. We paid a lot of extra money to get a 3 year cleaning warranty (they basically didn’t give us a choice for this and forced us to pay it), but they don’t send people to clean your furniture. They want to send you products to clean it yourself and if it doesn’t work, then you have to call them again and wait on hold for an hour just to have them send someone over. If your priority is the products, then go ahead and buy from them. But if honesty, integrity, and service are things that you value more (like we do), then I would say choose a different company. I will never buy any furniture from them again.

Laura Quintero: Bought a couch less than 6 months ago and we were persuaded on buying a cleaning protection plan that I wanted to use as after washing some of the parts in the washing-machine did not removed. I called in to request a service from my 3 year protection plan and they told me there is small letter that does not cover this situation as its "only if you spill something or vomit on it" (But beware, you must also call 3 days after the incident happened otherwise it doesn't apply either). It's great to see how they will do anything to cover the service we paid for. On the process of washing myself the pieces one of the biggest zippers broke they will not respond to that either (Terrible quality that is not covered by any manufacturer warranty either). I tried at least to get a refund on that cleaning service plan and they said NOT POSSIBLE EITHER. I had the headache of working with representative Samanthia, who said she could not put anyone on the phone superior to her. Then she pretended to be someone else on the phone and I caught her, big fraud by the way! After I called again I got Cynthia who just repeated the same thing over and over. I wished the sales person would have gave us more information as it wasn't a cheap piece at all. PLEASE DON'T INVEST HERE. There is a million places to buy furniture nowadays and those places might care for their customers.

BUT within a week we discovered pest damage and active pest infestation. contacting now. we’ll see how well it’s handled.

Blake Sullivant: Wish I could give them zero stars. They delivered the wrong size parts for the bed I purchased from there. When I called to let them know, they acted as if it wasn’t their problem and basically told me they’d get me another part brought to me in a few days (after I have already left town). I’m visiting and did not have a car to go pick up the replacement. They’ve given me the run around and have not been helpful at all to fix their mistake. Do not shop here.

Ron Stitt: Beware bait and switch. Nice sales lady at Pembroke Pines helped us and we picked out a tempered glass cocktail table clearly labeled as $229.99. When she rang it up (took forever) it came up as $299.99. The manager (a man) said basically “too bad” and “it’s not mislabeled because the prices are going up”. No apology, and he really had a “screw you” attitude, very deliberately super-rude. Of course we walked out (and went up the road to City Furniture (much nicer store and super courteous staff). Happily bought a more expensive cocktail table there, and other stuff. Ended up dropping almost $1k. Will never go to Rana again, and recommend you do not either.

Eric Fernandez: Do not go to the store that is located on 5891 sw 8 street. Miami Fl. I don’t know other store but this one is the WORSE. I went and purchased a bedroom set. The sales person called Francis Irigoyen made a mistake to change the color of my bedroom furniture. My mistake was I didn’t realized and signed. 3 weeks later I realized that was the wrong color and I didn’t accepted. When I called she said that was my mistake. I went to the store to talk to the manager but was not available. Francis made a new order with the right color. In that case she said that everything was the same. She charge me more that the initial invoice. She never told me. Also charge me again for shipping. Every time i talk to her Always is my mistake. Please don’t go there that people only want to sell and don’t care about clients. I’m an store manager for a huge company and feel shame that there is people that doesn’t care. I will never recommend anybody to go to that store.

Victor Herrera: Spent close to $3,600 dollars for a DEDON patio table set (including freight from the manufacturer). The 5-Star Service ends the minute you leave the store as I agreed to pick up the furniture once it arrived at the warehouse. After making an appointment at 9am sharp no one is there to deliver the product. Extremely poor service!! When I call CÁNDIDO TEJEDA for an update on the 9:00 appointment, the very professional individual tells me that his "guy is running late" and that "I have to wait"... it’s now 9:30 am and still no one here!!! Tim Dodson: Arravanti has a beautifully curated selection of furniture and accessories, mostly from Italy. You can really see the owner's eye for simplicity and good taste in the showroom. I have been very happy with my purchases from Arravanti, especially my gorgeous sofa, which the staff helped me customize perfectly and was delivered from Italy in about eight weeks. This showroom faces Biscayne Boulevard (right across from the Bay Shore Lutheran Church) but parking is a bit tricky because the private lot is behind the store, on Federal Highway. I always look for the huge cell phone tower; the Arravanti parking entrance is exactly opposite that.

I had purchased a bed from Design Within Reach a few years ago, and during my move, I lost 2 brackets that connect my headboard to the side railings. Long story short, Design Within Reach, couldn't be bothered to help me out in trying to replace my missing hardware. The manufacturer of the bed (Bensen) put me in touch with Arravanti, another carrier of their furniture. I spoke with an associate named Craig, and he told me that they only had showpieces in the showroom. Which is exactly what Design Within Reach told me. The only difference is that Craig didn't stop there. He was able to order the parts for me, from Bensen (a company based out of Canada). Rather than having the 2 brackets sent via a postal service, he put the parts on a truck that was carrying other deliveries for them as well, saving me well over $300!! Today I finally have my bed off the ground, and my sanity back after an arduous game of back and forth with different companies all telling me they couldn't help, except for Arravanti Contemporary Interiors! Craig went above and beyond for a client that he had never met, and someone who had never spent a dime in his store. This speaks volumes for a company. I am very grateful, and extremely pleased with my experience. Thank you so much!!

Christina Lagoudes: My husband and I have been searching for the perfect couch at an affordable price for months and months.. we were so excited to have found KMP furniture. we were able to find the perfect couch which allowed us to customize the fabric and color as well as order extra covers in different colors! they are also easy to clean in your own washing machine which is a major plus!! they also changed the width of our couch to accommodate our living area! The service was top notch from beginning to end... we will definitely be back! thank you!

Kirk Arthur: I'm on my third sofa from them. They have worked with me every time and have some great pieces that appeal to my "modern" aesthetic. Compared to furniture from DWR, Crate and Barrel I feel their quality is better, more comfortable and better looking. They've even helped me get a customized sofa to fit a smaller space. They are very supportive of the LGBT community which to me is a plus as well. Kay is fantastic, and every time I've been satisfied.

La Pilar: As an Interior Designer I have been to this and many other furniture stores in Miami, not once any store has made me feel so embarrassed with my customers. For the people that don't know designers/architects/contractors upon proof that they work in the field usually receive some extra discounts in furniture stores. The discounts to THE TRADE are well earned, because we work hard in this field and bring a lot of customers to the stores, so everybody wins. Well, I have shopped at KMP several times, brought my customers in, gave them business. They have always given me discounts between 10% and 20%off the products, and have explained that their maximum discount to the trade is 20%. Every store has their policies which are usually enforced, I know that. I always thought that 20% discount is good and I like to pass it along to my customers, since I make my living from the designer fees. What is the reason for this story? In the past weeks I sent two of my customers to this store, told them to look at the furniture I suggested and maybe find other things that they liked and when they had their choices I would go to the store and buy them with my TRADE discount. So they did, they visited the store in Coral Gables and they found a few products they liked. They were offered discount of 25% to 65%off, not damaged goods, not floor samples, brand new furniture! Good for them! They got good prices! But they thouhgt I was trying to rip them off and I was not, I have never been offered such high discounts, so I lost my customers thanks to KMP, because they never offered me this type of discounts but they offer them to any person that walks in the store. I you are looking for decent furniture please visit their Coral Gables store, you will certainly receive some amazing discount. If you are a designer do yourself a favor and don't send your customers there if you don't want to look like an idiot. They should have some respect for the TRADE because we give them more business than anybody else but they don't so they don't deserve our business

First I would like to apologize for any inconvenience the discounts might have caused you.The Trade discounts are well earned and actually we encourage our customers to use a designer, since a professional provides better service, eliminates room for mistakes and the customer is usually happier with the end result. We repeatedly and generously extent designer discounts ; as you mentioned are commissions well earned! As an architect myself and having worked on the field for years I am a firm supporter of the trade; I know the amount of work involved.. As far as other sales discounts; we might extent a small percentage off, on floor models and items damaged or discontinued. I personally dealt with the two ladies (your customers ) personally. It so happened that I went for 10 minutes at the Coral Gables store to get some paperwork and they were there.We had a friendly conversation and asked me for help. I have never mentioned any 25% or 65% off as you are suggesting .We do not offer items at 65% off ...They specifically asked me for items that were discounted and to provide them with alternative options. I gave them choices from the resources I had. They end up choosing two dressers that were discontinued and we no longer carry.It was our last two pieces from 3 collections ago; one was on the floor lightly scratched and the other at the warehouse.We no longer carry the dressers they purchased....Pilar we are a reputable business and we are proud for the quality of our products and services.I always tell my staff to be as honest and truthful as possible and give customers all the options available in order to choose accordingly.I am sorry if this harmed you in any way.

Adam Rossen: I really have to thank Kay and the rest of the KMP staff for doing a tremendous job helping me with the purchase of a king sized custom bed. From my initial visit at the Biscayne showroom, Kay was extremely helpful while I was deciding between the various beds they had. My girlfriend and I ultimately decided on a bed with custom fabric. I was told from the beginning that it would take 16-20 weeks for the custom fabric, but we decided it was worth the wait. I periodically called in to check on the status and Kay, Andy, and Adam were always very friendly and helpful, and they remembered me each time I spoke to them. Finally after 18 weeks, I received a call saying my bed had arrived. Setting up a delivery date was very easy, as they have their own in-house delivery department. We had some initial delivery problems due to the tight turns up the stairs in my townhouse, however, since the delivery guys were all in house, the problems were fixed very easily with a quick phone call to Kay. The delivery guys were professional and courteous as well. Overall a great experience, with a very high quality bed and I would definitely recommend and buy again from KMP Furniture!

Kotsi Mat: This was a very good experience! What I enjoyed mostly is the fact that I could get the items I needed immediately such as the sofa and beds (since they make them here) until the rest of the items arrive. The guys there were extremely accommodating . The quality for the price is superb! I was quoted for the same Salermo sofa for $12,000 elsewhere! I could not see the difference nor justify the price. Will be back

German Saborio: This store has a wide selection of furniture at very good prices. They have great sofas and unique chairs. Although you might have to wait some time for delivery, I found their products to be great quality and couldn't beat the price.
